I'd love to disagree, but I can't.
Open the box is by far the best machine ever made by ace
Very nice release too.

A very nice DX, although having never played this one in the wild I would say my favourite is Grand National. Looking forward to the classic and your DX of it.

Hi, I'm from Belgium. Played many layouts on MFMEv2.1,
but can someone explain me a bit what the nuances are
on this machine (hidden features etc.). From the posts
I learn that they play different in some way..
Thanks, o and thanks for these nice fruit games, wish they
were legal over here...

Ive still not worked them all out myself hehe.
But the ones I have found go a little something like this.
If the hidden treasures thing comes up look down, if the line below the winlibe is blinking or blinks hold all the reels, it will then step up that winning combo.
If there are 2 symbols to make a win on the winline and it gives the hidden treasure flash then hold them, the chances are it will set up a one nudge win the following spin.
If there are 2 winning symbols on the line but the other isnt there, hold the 2 on the treasures flash.
Chances are it will spin in the other one 1 step above the winline and give you one nudge.
The other one (that I havent worked out yet) I assume is part of getting a band aid in.
I always forget to look where the bands are situated when this happens and hence I get f***ed lol...
Of course, the last one and easiest of all is the hold after nudges..
So let's say you nudge in 2 of the same symbol and run out of nudges and the treasure flash comes up, simply press start and the full win will drop in.

I have found a fault.... (sorry)
I got line 10 (10 free plays it claims) then my last 2 credits ran out... no free plays
damn good fun tho.

Watch for my hidden treasures..........
If 2 boxed same symbol on line with another above the line, hold all for 1 nudge, if other one not above line then hold and cancel for nudges next spin
if just 2 like symbols on the line hold them and cancel before spinning the reels, the win will roll in.
If above or below flashes, hold all 3.
If nothing obvious on, hold all 3 and cancel then spin reels

This is because the machine would automatically payout 10 x 20p tokens.
Next time you get line 10, or line 7 or even the mystery win (can't remember which line) watch the meters.

Thats a good point Dez.... basically... you look at the reels, which ever is the best.... say you have a 3.... 7.... and 15.... when you bring the win in, hold the reel with the best number (15) and that'll be the reel which you gamble on.
Handy when you've got 2 6's and a 14

Now if you look carefully, when the 'Watch For My Hidden Treasures' comes on in this scenario, it doesn't actually say 'Watch For My Hidden Treasures'. It does the noise likes but displays 'Bonus On Items Not Held' instead. This is the cue to hold all 3 reels, press CANCEL and then hit START for a win. Usually, theres something obvious on the win line. 2 of a kind or 2 mixed boxes. So you can see what will spin in.

The 3.0/3.1 loads perfect but when i try and load "Open the box" it comes up with "Cant create compatible DC",.........quickest one to tell me that this is a win 98 problem wins a prize!!
