My incredibly short opinion. I would play an MPU5 to make money, not for entertainment (in the vast majority of cases). Therefore having an MPU5 machine emulated would be of no real use, as there is no long term appeal.

Yeah agree with above posts! Yeah even if mpu5 is ever emulated ( which of couse no doubt eventually it will probably in the year 3999) lol No seriously there are probably are a few machines like up and Over, Spiker, and maybe a few others I would play for entertainment purposes.

Although I dont to want repeat the merits pro cons of whether mpu 5 emulated would be a good/bad thing (seen the amount of threads it generates!) If I was a director of barcrest or who ever owns the copyright I would release it because whether a machine can be emulated or not as long as punters play it it will make them money and they would thinking they suddenly had a better chance of winning! And the state of the current market it would bring more players to hi techs as unfortunately I feel they are slowly going obsolute.

Anyway great website! great layout designers !keep up the great work!

I should upon upon a arcade on my computer have at least 100 machines on! Would set the % at 70% of course though I have to make money I am a student!

( Sorry if the above has spelling mistakes or generally doesnt make sense I am tying while a little drunk)

but if the technology was available and thus machines that are current were emulated it means that any little issue with the programming of the machine would be found very quickly as people can play them as much as they like without spending a penny.

Thus emptiers are suddenyl discovered by hundreds of people at once, little tricks are worked out in no time at all. Before you know it all of their machines are being emptied and IOU'd across the country. Not only would that result in a loss of money it would seriously tarnish the image of the company.

And so this is why we have not, will not and wont be allowed to emulate current techonology

Playtesting works like that anyway.. I mean there are enough web sites selling emptiers or cheats as soon as they are found out anyway that this currently happens (the only difference being people can charge for them). I don't agree that this is the reason current machines aren't emulated.

I believe that part of it is that people often play the machines for one reason. For example I played a club crazy fruit type section 16 the other day just to try and get the feature once I did I didn't bother playing it again. If I could do that at home I would never put a penny in.

THE MAIN REASON MPU5 AND CURRENT TECHNOLOGY IS NOT EMULATED IS BECAUSE WE WOULD GET SUED BY THE MANUFACTURERS!!

Anyway I know everybody gets emotive about this so let me close by asking is CRAZY FRUITs emulated? Can MPU5 be emulated yet??

Thanks all, god bless, love the world and ;

Run away! Run away!
KNIGHTS:
Run away! Run away!...
TIM:
Ha ha ha ha! Ha haw haw! Ha! Ha ha!
ARTHUR:
Right. How many did we lose?
LAUNCELOT:
Gawain.
GALAHAD:
Ector.
ARTHUR:
And Bors. That's five.
GALAHAD:
Three, sir.
ARTHUR:
Three. Three. And we'd better not risk another frontal assault. That rabbit's dynamite.
ROBIN:
Would it help to confuse it if we run away more?
ARTHUR:
Oh, shut up and go and change your armour.
GALAHAD:
Let us taunt it! It may become so cross that it will make a mistake.
ARTHUR:
Like what?
GALAHAD:
Well... ooh.
LAUNCELOT:
Have we got bows?
ARTHUR:
No.
LAUNCELOT:
We have the Holy Hand Grenade.
ARTHUR:
Yes, of course! The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch! 'Tis one of the sacred relics Brother Maynard carries with him! Brother Maynard! Bring up the Holy Hand Grenade!
