Hello everyone just thought I would ask what machines your local arcade has?

Many unfortunately doesnt have many high techs but the machines it has

are

£25 Cut throat Cash ( never play £25 machines)

£5/10p

Revolution (barcrest) great machine! Anyone agree? Normally make a few quid on it on my way home from uni ( made £40 in last 2 days of about £3 stake each time)

Red Hot wheels (wish they had Cash Lab instead) Wonder why hot Wheels was never emulated, it runs on the same tech I think

Flying Circus

Classic Spotted dick

Hurricane ( Awful machine) Had more entertainment putting a £1 in a drink vending machine

X marks the spot (Maygay) Good every now and again, apart from when you get put in a sandstorm and the machine practically plays by itself for about 5 minutes.

There are quite a few local arcades in Fife, most of them have cut back on the £25 jp hi techs and lowered the jackpot to £5 10p play.

Pick your pesos
Spin n tonic
Hurricane
Wipeout
Hot stuff
Take note

These are the kind of machines the locals do battle with.

However The chain of Royals arcades were recently taken over by Quicksilver who have some cracking machines like,

Throw a wobbler
Space raiders
All fired up
Hot gothic/ king kerching ( all £25 jp's)
Reel good time which are all worth a wee dabble now and then.

The strange thing is , for an arcade is most of the above all have note acceptors fitted, which is a tad odd for an arcade.

Throw a wobbler is currently my fav machine .Probably because of the massive streaks it has ( does 5 i.m's in a row every 10 days or so, caught it once )

( I have never been in Quicksilver YET) but do they have change desks?

I find that an arcade which has note acceptors is quite good as it shows they are willing to invest more to get money back, plus it means players do not need to leave their seats to get change. Which i like!

Quite a few machines near me have note acceptors

Most multiplayers there like Golden Game, Gold Rush Stampede, Monopoly plasma, Party Games, OXO Super reels.

my local arcade is M&Ds. Now this place used to have a MASSIVE arcade, filled to the brim with at least 100 machines, ranging from £6 token JPs right up to £15 JPs so there was smething for everyone. I still have 7 of those 20p tokens! lol. But now its completely different. A 15 seater Party Time, a couple of 10p Party Times, a fair few 10p £5 machines and a pile of Bar X's. There are about 8 £25 Jackpot machines, but no S16's thankfully.

Cloud 999 will verify this but it has lost all of its charm from a few years ago.

My local arcade (not been in for a while now but like a quick look through the window) has :

1 x £25/30p/70% Jackpoteers (Barcrest)
1 x £25/30p/70% Dough & Arrow (QPS)

Thats it for lo-techs - pretty shocking although used to do quite well on Dough & Arrow.

Jackpoteers has been with the same arcade for about 3 years now :o
