Can any one please tell me where i can get help with my computer. I need to find a cd recovery for it but cant. Any help would be helpfull. Thanks

basically i used to work for em some time ago....some ex employees set up a forum to help those who need it. If i can just find the link then we'll be away

Buy a Fujitsu next time.........

Supplied it all, 8 different disc's (was 9 but Panda's binned lol). PC is EXACTLY as it was the day I bought it!

I'd say just call them, it's no hardship for them to post One out to you.

if its the cd wot recoveres ya hard drive if ya have lost it or need 1 etc you have to pay 40 pound for a new one because i have a one for my toshiba laptop and i thought i had lost it and rang up to ask for a new one and they said it will cost 40 pound

Many of the PCs I sell these days (Compaq and Packard Bell mainly) actually come with a partioned off area off the HDD containing the 'recovery data' - you basically burn a copy of this onto DVD as soon as you get the PC set up.

Nice to see a change - I seem to remember when I was waiting for a friends parents to buy a PC over the phone from Time they were asked for £100 for a recovery CD. Sure the reply they got from my friends dad was 'go and f*** yourself' :)

Ady, you seem to be missing the point. Drop in a DVD, press 'shove my restore files onto DVD', jobs a goodun. In fact, you can do everything from the Restore Centre, without needing the restore DVD in most cases. If it saves the end user £100 for a DVD I don't see how you can complain? If you read my post above fully you'd see people used to get quoted £100 for a recovery disk - on these PCs as long as you have a blank DVD you can make your own copy and save money :S

As for an 0906 number for support, unfortunately thats the case with 90% of computer companies these days unless you take out a premium support package.

99.9% of new users don't know how to run an Emu, we all know the threads.....


Suppliers know that instructions arn't read.........and a 5 minute 09 call has made a Fiver as most who are new to a PC would rather that than fook it up, hmmmm much the same as selling a disc in my eyes as a customer?

Just a few of the questions i've been asked in the past...
"A light keeps flashin on the front of my pc"(Hardrive activity)
"Where's my desktop?"
Most new pc owners wouldnt have a clue how to even find the partition,(we were all newcomers once)nevermind copy it to dvd.
What shall i put here?

I had a Time computer before I bought this shitty (not spec wise but reliability wise) Mesh one, take a tip from me, never ever buy Mesh, shit customer support.

Anyway my Time pc gave me no problems at all, never had to re-install windows xp once in 4 years and none of the drives failed etc. It was also very solidly built and reasonably quiet for a pc bought about 4 years ago.

The specs were AMD Athlon XP2000+, 512mb Ram, 80gb Hard drive, 64mb Geforce 440mx graphics, 5.1 onboard sound, LG DVD ROM drive + LG CD Rewriter drive, standard 17inch time branded CRT monitor. Running Windows XP.

I did paid extra for a recovery disk and must still have it somewhere im sure, particularly as I have just found the disk which contains all the drivers for all the hardware I had.

Of course re-installing your operating system should be done as a last resort. What is the actual problem ?, maybe some members here can help you.

If I can find the other disk, I can do you a copy of it (don't worry it will be completely free). Of course it is a backup disk of what I had installed on my machine, so not to sure if it will be of much use to you.

Won't be much use wearcity,the backup disc is based on your hardware config,so wont be much use on another pc.

Your Time PC seems to have been good spec,so why change it?

Well I was thinking that as it was for my pc, it might not be of much use, but you never know, there is a slim chance he will have a similar spec.

As for changing it, well my pc wasn't very upgradable and I love gaming, particularly FPS's and my pc was looking very tired, only 512mb of the slowest ram, one of the slowest xp processors and a now budget card running on 4x agp

I did upgrade the graphics to a 128mb Raedon 9700 pro card, but my motherboard was only 4x AGP and the power supply was lower than recommended for that card.

After fitting my card, the temp in my case was so hot, my pc would reset itself unless I left the side of the case open. This wasn't a major issue though and games run fine for about another year. Of course none of this was a Time Computers issue as I cause the problem, so my trouble free comments still stand.

So April 2005 I decided to just buy another pc, unfortunately I chose to give Mesh my £1700 + but that is another story. Lets just say the day they go under is the day the pc buying public should rejoice.

i had the mis-fortune to work at time computers brighton when it first opened.. seemed a good company, took us all to clithero lancs. for our training, huge firm, yep sold me a company that knows what it doing..

first day of opening - more pc`s at the repair center than we were selling

end of first 2 months, pc`s that take 2 weeks to make are only now being shipped

end of first 2 months and 3 days, those pc`s bought back to repair center, faults are generaly the following - floppy drive falls in on itself (no screws holding it in), windows simply was not installed, pci modem card fell out 9no scrwes holding it in) monitor ontop of base unit fell in, (top of pc had one screw holding it together - which fell out)

end of first 2 months and 5 days - quit

never looked back and feel guilty of selling a pc for 2 GRAND which was 256mb ram, 400mhz cpu. oh but came with lotus smart suite....

lol. Sounds a bit like me only I cancelled my order with Mesh and told them to go f*** themselves. I've had a Time computer for about 5 years and it has never missed a beat.
