Was wondering what u guys thought on the way machines back in the day were easier (to a point) to judge n get a roll going ie checking the tubes to see which were full cash/tokens and fill accordingly. Now a days i find it increasingly difficult and expensive to do this, especially with the acceptance of notes.
As you guys have the technical knowledge just wondered what you thought - also im not after any tips or cheats just your thoughts on it.
sorry to sound lame but from a goth what can you expect!!!
tokens to cash - playablility

nothing lame in asking a question (thats not party time or crazy fruits related)
we all may have different views on this, but i would say that i look for a few different things these days, Barcrest machines and their clones have to be backing (full) as the streak on these machines is far easier to achive than the others, also the type of machine im playing, and which features play more.
Its very easy to spot what mood Barcrest machines are in, i.e. if you not getting past a £3 feature, walk away or spend the next £30-£40 forcing a £25+ return.
Bellfruits gave me an education in taking little but often wins. i watched someone force their monopoly... it took £250 to get a jackpot. (best bit was the next day it gave a jackpot with a true skill repeat!)
most owners have lost faith in having new Barcrest machines in, simply because of the fraud that goes on, and on, and on , and on...
