Not good news, there are reports that a bird died from bird flu in Cirencester thats only about 11 miles from where I live. That bird could have died from bird flu, hope not.

It`s a couple of weeks ago that the first case was found in Denmark. I agree with Baz.......even reckon that different streins have been around for years. it`s only when you define it & start testing all dead birds for it that it becomes apparent. Some bright spark recently told people to stop feeding them.....the poor b*****s can then choose between dying from flu or hunger!

Lets blow any old story out of proportion to take everyones minds off politcal corruption and other important news.

I mean really - IMHO this is nothing to worry about at this moment in time.

I'm still going to eat chicken, still going to let my cockatiels and lovebird share my living room, and am still going to go outside and feed the blackbirds in my garden.

If I find a dead swan say I'll report it but am not going to get worried about such trivial stuff.

It could be more serious than some replies if it mutates into the human form that can be passed around...but the only chance of that happening is if it reaches the West of Scotland....where there are so many neds that being poultry is not a sexual issue with men or women...lol

On second thoughts....Oh F**K!!!

Maybe my local Chinese will reduce the price of a chicken curry, just like Mad Cow Disease...lol

Well, there is a confirmed case in Fife, and two dead swans have been found in Glasgow, and are in for tests.
However, as Bencrest said, there is nothing like a public scare to make people forget about important things.
I mean for God sake, we were told SARS was a major threat, then they told us what would happen if someone infected was to get on the London underground (We'd all be f***ed!)....... Then...... ??????????????????
