I know this has nothing to do with the GP, but can someone please tell me how to stop my speakers from picking up some foreign radio station. Even when turned all the way down I can still hear it. I dont know why this is but it is doing my head in. Thanks

No way.........I must sound real bad anti-British drivers here....But....

Deamon Hill--total Crap...never had the balls to push his car to the limit, but His Dad and Mansell--now they are/were drivers.

-------------

The whole idea of A1 isn't to use established drivers.....It's a 'team-work' thing--to progress from scratch....I love the whole idea of the Countries being independant...and the fact it's not all cash.

I have been following F1 for over 12 years now. I don't think that Alonso is that special - he has been in the best car for over a year and he should be winning. Micheal schumachers performance last year was not that spectacular and he only won 1 race involving 6 cars in America, he is a good driver but it proves that you need to have the best car to win and no amount of talent can make up for the the lack of performance in a car.

There is nothing wrong with Jenson Button's performance. He is our best driver at the moment and he is Britain's best chance this year. The honda car is not that bad but needs to find some speed to challenge the Renaults for race wins. Honda seems to be also lacking in fuel stop strategies - they always seem to hit traffic at the wrong time. At the moment Jenson is thrashing Barrichello and it would be interesting to see how that pans out.

They two top teams this year seem to be Renault and Honda followed by Mc Laren , Ferrari and Williams. Nico Rosberg seems to be a very good driver and I am sure he will go far - but it is early days yet.

This is shaping up to be a good season with several teams being really close in lap times.

Bring on the Austrailian gp

Bridgestone tyres were the big bane for schui last year. They just weren't competetive. Schumacher is the best driver without a doubt. Its pity we haven't had a few wet races this last couple of years to help prove this. Tyres then the car make such a performance difference these days your right in saying without the right wheels under you your not going to win much. Hell in the days of the computer controlled "on rails" williams car even damon hill and jacques Villeneuve
won a title a piece. Kimi is probably closest to schui in terms of ability but the mclaren is as reliable as a chocloate fireguard it seems.

Button and alonso are good drivers but they aren't up to schui's class yet. F1 is a bit like boxing at the moment, you just don't have the depth of talent you used to when the likes of senna, schui, prost, mansell, were all racing each other.

I remember seeing the GP ran at Brands Hatch, that as long as I have been a fan....but i'm sorry to say I have lost all interest in it now. I cannot agree at the excitement bit anymore since getting into A1 big-time. A1 IS close racing and down to pure driver and team skill.

There are many F3000 (now F2) Drivers much much more deserved that Button I have seen racing.....then I don't pay the obscene wages so I can't really comment--

Take the power boost (the Only enhancer on a car--but they all have the same) Should I use it? If I do will he and it's wasted--No Blocking to stop overtaking except once--Every car identical--etc etc

Take these times:-

Round 9, Qualifying: Parque Fundidora, Monterrey, Mexico - Saturday, 25th February 2006
Pos.: A1 Team: Driver: Aggregate Time: Difference:
1 France Alexandre Premat 2:45.848
2 Switzerland Neel Jani 2:46.147 + 0.299
3 South Africa Stephen Simpson 2:46.455 * + 0.607
4 Italy Enrico Toccacelo 2.46.657 + 0.809
5 USA Bryan Herta 2:46.820 + 0.872
6 Czech Republic Tomas Enge 2:46.894 + 1.046
7 Netherlands Jos Verstappen 2:46.975 + 1.127
8 Ireland Ralph Firman 2:46.991 + 1.143
9 Portugal Alvaro Parente 2:48.071 + 2.223
10 Malaysia Alex Yoong 2:48.447 + 2.599
11 Brazil Christian Fittipaldi 2:47.066 ** + 1.218
12 Germany Timo Scheider 2:48.810 + 2.962
13 New Zealand Matt Halliday 2:49.025 + 3.177
14 Mexico Salvador Duran 2:49.090 + 3.242
15 Great Britain Robbie Kerr 2:49.147 + 3.299
16 Lebanon Graham Rahal 2:49.266 + 3.418
17 Japan Hayanari Shimoda 2:49.364 + 3.516
18 Austria Patrick Friesacher 2:49.393 + 3.545
19 Canada Patrick Carpentier 2:49.511 + 3.663
20 Indonesia Ananda Mikola 2:50.169 + 4.321
21 Australia Christian Jones 2:54.116 + 8.268
22 China Tengyi Jiang 2:56.400 *** + 10.552
23 India Armaan Ebrahim 2:40.261 + 6.004
