I LOVE your avatar. One of those moments in Family Guy that had me in stitches the first time I saw it.

I've been at the same position with the DOND in my work, it didn't offer me a figure when I was down to £25 and Mega Streak, it just rolled staight into mega streak.

Thing was tho i went on and had £25 in my box not mega streak. so i should of took the last offer.

Whats in your box...Can you beat the banker...Hi tech...Lo tech...Club... What more can BFM suck out of the show???
Oh yeah the Sec.16, and perhaps something to do with the monus game or what wing you're in...

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums

(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)

Hi All,

I was watching Deal Or No Deal today (couldn't find the remote control to turn TV off) and I was wondering if anyone can answer my statistical query or might know of a website which might have the answer. My question is this:

"On average, how much better off would the contestant be if he/she just opened up his/her box straight away and got paid the value of the box, thus making a tedious 45 minute program 40 minutes shorter?"

So, say we're in the first week of the wretched thing and the stats are as follows:

Name Dealt At Box Contained
==========================================================
Fred 10,000 50,000
Joe 25,000 100
Eric 3,000 10,000
Freda 42,000 75,000
Jim Jim 50,000 250,000

Here we see £130,000 being paid out for boxes containing a total of £385,100. So the "Average Contestant" would be 1/5 x (385,100 - 130,000) = £51,020 better off just opening the box or playing to the end.

Anyone into stats?

She had £750 and £250,000 left the banker offerd her £41,000 she declined and won the £250,000 she lives in gloucester about a mile from the petrol station that i work in. She said that noel got so excited he threw the box up in the air.
