Hi,

I own an "Around The Town" fruity which has (I believe) Incurred two problems.
  • When landing on a "Mystery" square a cash reward is always made.
  • The payout verges on 98% !!
Can anyone offer any advice on how I might solve these Issues?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

John

Judging by those two mistakes i'd say stick in it an arcade near me !

Bencrest n co should be able to tell you whats wrong, personally it sounds like the rom/software itself has a fault if its not doing what its suposed to do.
The percentage will be a software setting change with the door open but how i'm afraid i dont know.

Guys help out John here before i tempt him to put this in an arcade near me !

sounds like a program fault or the battery on the mpu had dried up or died as when this happens it runs at a very % all the time.

or you may just need to ram clear the machine.

turn machine off
short out the battery with a set of pliers
turn machine back on

you should then get a ram clear or ram error alarm, once you close all the doors and put a coin through the error should disappear.

to check battery status

insert coin
switch the machine off with credit on machine
leave it off for 1 min
then switch machine back on

if the credit is still there then the battery is ok.

if no credit is there then the battery is naff
