Hej!

I recently stumbled across a Barcrest Andy Capp M/C in Southern Jutland of all places! The Danish market comprises of 2 manufacturers of Fruit machines....Compugame ( Esbjerg ) and DAE ( Thisted ).

If anyone has seen Gamatica m/c`s ( by Astra ) in the uk, then this is roughly the type of gameplay used on the market here. Apparently, a Compugame designer defected to the UK & has designed DOWNTOWN, MOULIN ROUGE etc.

So I was extremely surprised to find Andy with a D-Mark coin insert & 500 Lire & 50p token slots!!

I got it started in test mode, but 2 hours later, the lamps went out & 2 days later everything else went dead. I have continuously checked & changed all fuses, connections etc & have arrived at the conclusion that the Transformer ( 12v, 34v, 48v ) has expired!

Anybody got any advice on where to pick up a replacement?

There is currently a Barcrest MPU4 traffo on Ebay, but do they differ much from machine to machine & what should the used price roughly be? Remember I have to pay postage to DK on top of the tag!

Hope to hear from someone....all the best from Denmark

some of the barcrest transformers were different voltages but they were clearly stated with different coloured labels(orange, green, red or no label).

you will have to check with the ebay seller that the power supply has no coloured warning labels that states what the correct voltage is.

can you give me a link to the auction?

also a picture of your power supply.
