If I had a similar machine I'd consider buying it as spares for that - but wouldn't recommend buying one to repair unless you are an electrician of sorts.
Don't forget they are not lightweight, they are not easy to move.
Probably worth £50>£200 working. Sorry thats a bit vague but on the likes of eBay the upper limit is what someone (often without a clue) is willing to pay.

MAB gimme five- MAB systems clone of BAR-X that they did around the same time as refitting all those origional BAR-x machines with the nudge wink added features conversion. Its a decent machine, but the fault with this is more likely to be the cpu board itself, i dont know if it even has a game card, it might well be roms straight onto the board (bazpeeb would know more about this than me)
Its well worth a flutter i think, because theyre are tons of bar-xs, red bars etc about, as well as many mab machines and both mab and electrocoin are still in the game so spares should be availible. I was going to bid myself except delivery is too costly.

I've seen these MAB kits before. Pretty sure you get a module with program and sound ROMs on it, which you use with an existing Electrocoin Bar X mainboard.
As for putting any game card into it, it is unlikely the game card is at fault.

I looked at this as it's only 50 miles away. I think it's worth up to £20 as the parts are easy to come by if it's a fault needing that. They play well -Yes just like the mab - barx. I like them. I'm not bidding though - too many other things...

The last time I enquired about these old bar x conversions they were going for £50 working (trade). Also, as it's Mab, the roms will be on a chuzzy board or other Mab creation, and you wont be able to run electrocoin roms in it withought a proper electrocoin rom security board.

MAB roms were never on a chuzzy board, the 2 companies were totally different. MAB also have not existed for about 3-4 years, maybe longer despite the web site still being active. Not sure if that machine used a sampled sound board. You probably will not be able to run a standard MAB Barx program on the board either due to different protections
