Hi there. Been the fan of the fruities that I am and also a member of the best emu site on the net I was wondering if I could contribute my services, I would like to learn more about creating layouts, especially layouts for machines that are only currently available in classic format. The obvious question is am I permitted? and the second question is how can I find out more about doing so. Many thanks in advance!

Yes, you are definately permitted to create your own layouts.
And as for finding out more about making them, i am afraid i have to pimp my website again. haha
I wrote DX creation guides for both MFME and JPeMu and i am led to believe they are easy to follow and will help if you want to start designing.
