As promised yesterday:
(Started new thread as not really relevant to would King Kebab would make a good home machine!)
From the manual the following software options are available:
S - Standard Verstion, payout set by DIL swithes
T - Test version, only used during testing
D - Datapak protocol version, datapak required for machine to function
F - Ferry Version, will ignore DIL switches and target the machine at 65% (Nice P&O!)
M - No 12v Meter alarm, will disable the alarm if the meters are disconnected (sounds a little suss to me!)
O - Oilrig version, will ignore DIL switches and target the machine at 88% (Nicer BP!)
L - Low, will ignore DIL switches and target the machine at 72%
Z - Casino version, will allow £1000 and £500 options only.
I am (as normal) confused, as I thought the machine was MPU5, however the manual refers to the MPU4 board frequently, was there a version of this on MPU4?
Also I have been trying to work out how to enable the Multi stake option (where you have 1 2 or 3 win lines - not the dual stake 10p/20p a go option), but cant find the settings for this, anyone know, it is not mentioned in the manual, just that it is available?
Hope this a little interesting and not just wasting everyone's time!

I also own this fruit machine, but I cannot find the 'multi' stake option either.
I couldn't even get the dual-stake to work - you'll have to tell me how to do this.
I'd be interested also if you can do the multi-stake option settings.
anyone ?

Is it possible that only one version of the machine supported the extra winlines?
Theres 2 versions of Psycho Cash Beast, one by Barcrest and one by BWB/Vivid.

hello
the bwb version is the mpu4 machine.
the multi stake/line option was never enabled and i beleive it was going to be too much to make all the glasses again.
it was a legal issue regaurding the multi stake option at the time(thats what i beleive)

is it possible for the BWB ROMs to be used in an emulation then, or are they encryped?

i think they are encypted as with all bwb roms.

I was conviced the BWB/Vivid version was MPU5 - unless theres 2 versions kicking about?
If anyone has a version with BWB or VIVID on the glass or reels, would be lovely to see a pic of the inside of the machine

I have this machine, when you select the £1000/£500JP and / or £1, 50p play option it says Invalid Option, including multi stake option.
The same with the AWP, Invalid Option on multi stake/3 in lines option. No info on Barcrest's site! > http://www.barcrest....beast/index.htm

To get the £1000/£500 options to work I think you need the Z program option on the game board. I don't know how you get this, whether it is just a plug in, or a new game card completely.
My machine is definitely Barcrest MPU5, my glass has Winlines 1 2 and 3 on it and bulbs for each of these which work in test mode, however I cannot enable the game to use them, so perhaps it was not implemented as bazpeeb says, can't be anything to do with the glass though as the glass has the winlines printed on already.
bladefan2 - I couldn't get the dual stake working either, from what I can make out you need to change 2 dip switches, one on bank one and one on bank 2, It is slightly confusing as from memory the manual contradicts itself as to which ones to change.

Sorry to revive an old post but did anyone ever find a solution to this i just tried changing my pcbc to dual stake today using the description in manual but keeps saying invalid option.
On 1 page says jumper 2.7 is loud jackpot but on next page say 2.7 is dual stake enable.
Also says jumper 1.1 and 1.2 are dual stake options for 10/20p per lay and 25/30p play but although when you switch them you get a change sound as if you have altered the stake it is still displaying the same stake as before with none of the keys seeming to change the play amount
