You should check out our fabulous motorway service stations. They have all their machines set at 30p play with small £5 Jackpots. They also set them bang on the 70% mark too. You can easily spend a tenner on these and not even get on the feature board.

If that aint Chester services, then i cant believe theres TWO in UK that do that

i have a friend on the committee at BACTA (not the travel agent!) and the centre of attention at the moment are the FOBT or roulette machines.

It was aggreed in principle that pubs and bookies would go upto £500 jackpot, but the FOBT would decrease its maximum per number AND limit the amount of spins in a fix amount of time.

The next step, the addition of the bank-to-credit button is on the horizon, as so is the increased jackpot. Ive played a test machine of £50 at 50p play. ive also played a `wall` mount machine which was a plasma TV.

It looks like the battle between the casinos and betting shops is ready to go to court, although its pretty certain that casinos will accept lower stakes on the FOBT machines, which is where the increased jackpot comes in to `sweeten` up the arcade/pub and bookies comes in. its just a matter of timing. after that we should see FOBT in arcades.

Have you ever played some of the 5p/£10 JP machines in the seaside arcades? Their play is appalling .

I live near Blackpool...I can show you arcades with percentages that would shame a $1,000,000 casino link game 8O

I wont quote it but someone said theres 30p/£5 machines in service stations????

Surely thats illegal ...seems odd to me.
::First jackpot::-::2p-a-go Winspin::-::£1.50 jackpot from 4p gamble::-::was still in a pram:: Anyone fancy doing WinSpin? Cant find it and would love to see it done.

Only £500 jackpot on Little Devils which I got waiting for a Rainbow Riches (£70) feature to end. Then I got £210 on the feature on Rainbow Riches. My mrs was happy that day!

For me, my favourite machines were the old nudge n' win machines like Seventh Heaven, Cloud 999, Nudge nudge wink wink. Keep it simple I say.

Features do not make playing fruit machines more interesting they just make them more tedious to play, especically with a succession of lose and '?' (another lose) squares. I hate all this high/low crap. I think its time for machine manufacturers to come up something else other than high/lo feature board machines. They are stale, predictable and are often over complicated (deliberatly most probably).

I think the industry need to take a look at wins, payout ratios and designs. I used to be a hardcore gambler but the industry has helped me quel my addiction because they machines are generally A) Crap and B) Too tight.

nails where is your local arcade???? i`d give my right nut for an arcade with those percentages in glasgow about as generous as they get is ONE of the four partytime arena seats is set to 80% and the rest are at 70% (the 80% is the tightest of all seems dodgy to me)

I played £25 machines for two weeks. They were the final nail inthe coffin. Must thank the industry for helping me quit completely.
