I have a Barcrest Temple of Treasure fruit machine.
It has a fault, and I wonder if you can help,
When you switch on.....
Display says INKEYTITR1.0
Then DISPLAY shows "INVALID KEY" (and machine makes a clicking noise) - on the other half of the display it says DOOR 75.00 or DOOR 99.00
If you open the bottom door, you can press "HOLDA" and change the stake and continue play on test mode.
No lamps on the top half work (except for the jewels and cash numbers above the jewels).
The buttons do not light up.
When testing the lamps in test mode, is says on the display CANCEL BULB 341 OPEN, whilst sounding "check it out".
It also says that about other lamps, etc.
The lights on the MPU5 board seems to light up green ok, in accordance with the manual.
The 34V fuse on the MUX5 board was missing, and when replaced (it does not blow) but red light comes on and nothing will happen from then on.
When to remove the fuse, it just does as stated above.
I would appreciate if advice can be provided.
Thanks and regards
John

basically the error is displayed because of an invalid option/stake percentage key.
in otherwords they setting are set on the machine for an option that doesnt exist. ie. it could be £25jp 5p play it does like, or £5 30p play. i have had this error many times trying to set club temple of treasure to 30p play and £75 or £100 jackpot.
the door 75 or 99 is marely a sign that tells you the door is open, and the aiming percent, this door 75 means the doro is open and 75% is its aiming percentage.
hope that helps..

Hi,
Any ideas where I can get a service manual for an MPU5.
I have an MPU4 one (40 plus pages), but have recently purhcased a new machine.
i have the standard machine manual, service one is what I am looking for.
thanks,
John

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get the graphics for TOT?
Need a new bottom (reel) glass. Thought about making something up, or going to a glass supplier.
what is best practice.
thanks

the two most likley options are blown bulbs and bad connections. place the machine on a trobe test and try moving the connection wires and see.

i dont know that it would be just the muiltyplex unit (mux5) std issue @ fault the mpu5 lampoutput driver is one to look at any pins look black/burnt dont smell the mpu like a nice warm cake but a quick smell of any part gone around the area is also to tell
if you have a meter turn machine off as always test the barbus line from the mpu to mux, ( wiggle ins and out too from mpu to mux when switch on please be careful )
please try any other first before parting any money on the bay or other members buying a mux5 or mpu
bencrest is the only person that i sent a test loom to even to this day i know if he got this. this loom dose help find if one is at fault reel,mux,psu-not mpu

you may just have a blown fuse on the mux board.
have a close look at the mux board and where the fuses are situated ther will be a rating for which fuse should be in that position .
should be a 1 amp or 5 amp (but barcrest have now updated the rating for the 5 amp location to a 6.3 amp fuse.
these boards very rarely go faulty but the fuses do blow from time to time.
