I've still got an Austin Powers MPU5 machine, am looking for as close to £100 as possible, and ideally want it collecting from the pub it is currently sited in
Landlord bought it from me (using beer as currency) and has no idea of how to sell it, so I am selling on his behalf.
Price - £100
Pictures - Will see what I can do.
Location - Weston Hills, nr Spalding, Lincolnshire.
Condition - Works, but cosmetically not great, hence price.
Problems (If Any) - Works 100%, no errors, still being used in a pub.
Delivery - only within the Spalding area.
Bit Of History - Bought as an ex-kebab shop machine, coin mech replaced shortly after, been sat in a pub since.

Yawn.............why not pay ebay charges rather than take the free option of pasting over a FME site, as was said there is the proper forum set up for selling---so it was also said it wasn't used--hello here mabey people arn't interested............
The LEAST you can do is try helping the running of the site rather than leeching a sale thread, where even if you made a good profit you wouldn't even then support the running...........
And a sticky.............you really are taking the piss there!

Must admit it is a bit of a liberty. List it on e bay. Not a lot of people come on here to buy things so you've more chance of making a few quid on there. Saying that the classified section on here can be alright if it's used properly.

eBay?
1) I don't want (as I've heard many times before) some kid to win the auction and then turn around and say 'oh my parents said I can't have your machine', and then have the hassle of running the auction a second time, wasting what could be a further 10 days.
2) I agree in enforced donation. I've sold stuff at FruitForums and donated about £30 in the past 6 months. Why? Because I'd rather 'donate' my fees, than give money to eBay.
3) My only major issue is people taking the piss with prices. IMHO £100 is a good price for a 2001 MPU5 machine, which works 100% but is cosmetically damaged. If it sold on eBay I'd probably get £150 bid and then a negative feedback for condition, no matter how well I described condition.
4) As for not using the Classified section, even I don't bother checking it, and it could be the case that the machine I am after turns up and is snapped up for a bargain price. There could be bargain of the century there, but unless someone pointed me to it, I'd not know. So I think maybe a sticky thread could be a good idea :
HOWEVER it would need to be correctly managed. Posts would need to be edited as and when an item was sold.
As for it 'being a liberty', as I said above, enforce donations. If someone sells on here and doesn't state they will make a donation, their sales pitch could be removed. If they refused to donate, I'd have no qualms in banning them.

Well there's not only e bay but it is where a lot of people look. There's other places like the Loot etc. But you could still have problems with non payers and other aggro from people off here i guess. I think i've seen other threads similar to this one where people have tried to sell individual machines. It would probably be best if any queries about specific machines were PM'd as opposed to being posted on this thread. A lot of people do that anyway but worth mentioning.

I assume you're just highlighting how heavy it is by mentioning it's over a ton in weight? You certainly would need more than a tranist van if it's that heavy.
If you'd advertised it 2 weeks earlier I'd have had it off you immediately. For now I'll have to keep with my Club Gladiator and get my money's worth from it.
