yes but i believe they can be converted so they are not random and work to an overall %.

Has anyone noticed on RR that you can usually tell when the Pots are likely to drop? The Bronze one in my local never goes above about £90, so when it reaches this, I usually play it and find the Pots come in. Also, when it wants to pay them, you usually find two of the symbols keep appearing, then nothing, then it drops them in. Thats how it seems to play in my local....also I seem to find that Reel King drops £500 more often then any of the others?? Oh and I hear the prog for Slotto allows soft play (no jackpot) or hardplay (jackpot possible) - seems a bit of a con if they have it on softplay, as you will never get the £500 !!

No, this is all wrong - It's random. The pots go at Bronze to well over £200 quite regularly here - In fact they were at about £190 the other day. They can go and then go straight away again - etc. Plus there is no jackpot/ no jackpot setup on slotto.

Strange one then ! The Bronze Pots in my local never go past £90 before dropping them. On the subject of Slotto, there is two settings for it - when on Soft Play, the machine will never pay £500 from the 777's i.e. when all in view. When set on Hard Play, it will pay the £500 from all the 777's in view. If in doubt, you can tell by the amount of Slotto Pick-Em features it rolls in and the vaule they pay - failing that, check with Astra - I did and they confirmed just that at the ATEI this year. Slotto was the only S16 made with the switch option of Soft/Hard Play. Reel King and such like were all given a 'medium' play setting, which means its a mixture of both, but will pay the £500 from either the feature or all in view. The only exception was Mexicana which had the same options....hense why in the manual for Slotto it has these options.

That would mean they weren't random and not S16???

Well, RR aside, did you know that about Slotto? The owner of my local is a good mate and we discussed this. She seems to be of the understanding, that although it wont pay £500 from the 777's (when on soft play), that it pays the equivalent back i.e. £500, over the various wins and features etc Therefore getting around the so called random element ! Im guessing in your local, it my be on Hard Play, and that you get the jackpots come up ?! But with fewer pick-em features? For example, in my local, the features come up often, but they pay lots of small wins i.e. not very many £25's etc.....

Surely it is illegal to have a machine that shows a particular win is possible but the code does not contain the means to pay that win? Even on softplay the paytables would have to allow at least one instance of £500 for a single spin.

Well I would agree, but belive me when I say on Soft Play, Slotto will never roll in the £500 with all the 777's - I have no reason to lie !! I agree, its odd, short of owning the machine, dont really have another way to show you !! Unless you want sight of the manual and you can see the options in it...

the proper difference actually is hard setting give many more JP and less wins than the soft option soft option give many more features and bottom end wins but it IS still possible to get the JP but much less chance of it ....
only as a example but something like hard 1 in 20,000 chance of JP soft 1 in 50,000 JP so it might feel impossible but it still has a chance
hope this clears that up
