We all knew if it went to penalties we'd be completely knackered. We had our chances and didn't convert them. People wonder why there are so many foreign players in the premiership? Now you've had your answer. There was a lot of talent in the England side but we never looked like winning it. We played crap right from the word go. Portugal won't win it anyway, if the French can do that to Brazil they could end up winning it.

We seemed to be cursed on penalty shootouts. Rooney shouldn't have been sent off. No way. But what do you expect from an Argie ref? There were more cards than Clintons!! But Rooney at least can take some consolation from the fact that he's a better player than Ronaldo. By far. Reckon he'll be at United a lot longer as well.

The refereeing has been shocking right throughout the tournament. Far too many bookings slowing the games down.

So Beckham is no longer captain. I saw the press conference where he made the announcement. He's had a lot of stick from some fans and the German newspaper Bild. Some of the things they printed were well out of order. Especially about his family. He stopped us possibly from going out to our penalty curse against Ecuador. Makes me wonder if it's the first step to his semi retirement from international football. But Gerrard has more than proved he's capable of wearing the captains armband.

All change at England. New captain and manager. Will be interesting to see how things pan out.

Terrible, just terrible. Said it before and I'll say it again, pick Rooney when his IQ passes his age, he's a f**king liability and a total disgrace. People will try and push your buttons all through life, if you can't deal with that get out of the kitchen. Oh no, poor little sausage, he's only 20, fine then, give him the salary of £7.5k, that I earned when I was 20. Of course not, cake and eat it springs to mind.

And why was sven dicking with the tactics and formation etc? Now i know very little about football, but I would have thought that's what friendlies were for, trial and error, experimentation. To play a formation in the finals never before tried? The logic of that is lost on me frankly. Any higher hopes for Maclaren? Nope, I mean come on, svens no2, reckon he's been arguing with sven, disaggreeing with him, doubtful. Would rather be scottish, at least they were expecting jack shit.

Rooney was out of order, but Alth. did you never see Vinny Jones play? Talk about a thug.....Who did he play for again???...Ahhhh...that's right...WALES wasn't it????...Are you so anti-English that you didn't see the pics of Ronaldo winding up Rooney before kick off and then running at the Ref trying to get him sent off? My first statement will be fact. Ronaldo will get his leg broken in training pre-season....The whining little s**t. Looking forward to the Euro qualifiers now with a new manager. Who have Wales got again Alth? Please remind me!! I will give them my full support just as you have given England's.

Hmmm.....I feel slaggings ahoy!!! What goes around comes around sunshine.

But in the old days footballers were men, you only went down if something was broken. Now adays if you get within half a yard of the foriegn player they hit the ground like they have been sniped from the croud.

Its not the rules that have change the face of football its been the amount of non english players playing in the english league bringing with them such tricks as diving, I'll be the first to admit there are some in my team but that doesnt mean i condone it.

Fifa had the right idea in the world cup for sending off divers or cheats and i think its a rule that needs applying in every league of football.

I do feel that Ronaldo has played a key part in englands exit from the competition but only against portugal, england were shite from the 2nd half of the first game and i am suprised we lasted as long as we did. Allthough we all wanted glory can anyone of you actually point out where in the world cup we looked like a team that could win it ???

We played like shite, like chelsea in the first season of Mr Big Bucks they had all the big names but the players didnt gel, england didnt have enough prep time and what was Mr Errikson thinking about with the strikers ? I have seen wallcot play and he is a very good player but like Rooney he lacks experience and we all know what Rooney tends to do when its not going his way.

Anyway back to the tennis or whatever else is going on at the moment.....

I could have sworn I saw some dives by the Portuguese side that were witnessed but not penalised with a card... must be me old noggin playing up :)

Either way, I don't really care. That doesn't make me any more or any less patriotic by the way, not caring if England win the World Cup or not. Or the fact I didn't have ANY England flags on my car or out of my window. Sure I wore an England shirt - at work - as the other staff were wearing them and I didn't want to be the only person in uniform :)

Football these days disgusts me - I don't agree with how corrupt it is, the amount of money involved, e.t.c.

How can it still be the church of England when they've dropped the flag? Why don't they just turn it into a bloody mosque then? How many Muslims go to C of E to be offended? For answers to these questions and more feel free to drop a line to

Mr Tony Blair
10 Downing Street
London
England (Sorry, can't say that)
Mixed Race Land (Is that OK)
United Kingdom (Can I still say that without offending anyone...No?)
Southern United Kingdom then.

Quite funny but you must be really bored Alth. Try getting a girlie...lol...and improve your spelling a little. I reccommend school for this!!!

Anyway, now that the kiddies have been dealt with. What about the game tonight? Good on Italy. Stuck it right up the Germans who were playing for penalties right from the beginning of extra time. Best team won!!!! :)

I knew it was wrong at the time Jay but didn't bother to change it...lol. Well, I'm happy now. Ronaldo got his just desserts, crying like a big baby...ha ha ha ha!!!!! YER OUT YER CHEATING GIT!!!. He'll be crying a bit more when Rooney breaks his legs in pre-season training...heh heh heh!

I feel validated now. Have you ever heard booing like it for a player in a WC game? Cheating little shit. I laughed and laughed. Goodnight Portugal!!! :)

P.S: Alth, tell me what betting shops allow underage children to put a bet on 'cos my 9 year old niece wants to bet her pocket money on the final too :) :)

While I put the St. Georges Cross away for a couple of months let's concentrate on tomorrows final. Who do you want to win?

Personally I'd like to see the Italians win. I think they probably deserve it. Although Henry is always going to be difficult to stop. If Zidane plays well then it could be a good game.

Now on a selfish front. Get it RIGHT up you Ronaldo. You haven't even got 3rd place. Well done Germany, whose fans have been absolutely magnificent (as Martin O'Neill keeps saying). You are now one of the worlds most hated players. Not because you got Rooney sent off (which you did) but because of the backhanded way you went about it. Nausing him up before kick off and squealing to the ref. The Germans booed him every time he got the ball. Love it!!!! Your nightmare is just beginning....ha ha ha!!!! (Get's out voodoo doll and stabs it with a pin). :)

Ahem...Rant over!!!!
