Hi guys ,

Does anyone remember a gambling game see in the arcades many many years ago , which was housed in a large cabinet with a wide sloped glass top. Inside was a conveyorbet with a flat white sheet of material. This was divided into lanes , each with numbers in them 3`s and 6`s (I think). The idea was to shoot a 2 pence piece from one of several slot points onto the belt as it was moving , and if your coin ended up resting in one of the lanes without it touching the black lines , then , both your original coin and your winnings would come rolling down the top of the glass cabinet towards you. You had to be quick to catch it before it fell on the floor. People used to put bits of silver and all kinds of things into the firing slots rather than coins.

Believe me, these machines are still here....And a lot of them!
Cromptons Roll a Win they are. I liked them quite a bit...When I was young I thought you had to roll them and the tripwire fixed the game!
Anyway, you'll find a lot of them in Worthing, or Brighton I think...Or in Wales theres a good few!
Never won on them though!:(

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.

And the coins always turn!
Once I was playing I got 50p but there was a hole between the glass and tube so the money fell down!

Yeah , the ones I used to play on had a habbit of not paying out as well , but I got my own back.

I was playing on one whilst I was on hols at Butlins once. There were two lines which never paid out , despite the red and black numbers on them. But then I managed to get my coin onto a number 6 , and it paid out like about 50p. So , I tried it again , and it eventually did it again. Everyone kept looking at me as the coins kept rolling over the glass. I`m sure they thought i`d been banging it or something.

I had to leave for dinner not long after , but I was gonna go back the next day and try and clean it out. Strangely , the machine had vanished overnight.

Ah Butlins , those were the days. A bit like staying in a `Chicken Run` theme park , and just as hard to escape from as well.
LOL
