Hi all,
Just wanting to wish all school, college, uni students good luck with results. I heard uni students are getting them today, well some anyway. I remember being told, "They will be available on Monday 12:00" then having to turn up each day for a whole week and a half till they were available (last year). I got a 1st class Computer Science degree!!!!! WOOO!!
Hope you all did well and if not, as long as you tried your best that is all that counts.

Yeah good luck everyone been there and had the anxiety of it all at that time of year. Just remember if the worst does come to the worst and you fail a module or something you can always resit. Its not the end of the world. I was speaking to a fella the other day who told me he got only a score of 10% on one module once when doing a law degree. He is now a top barrister now.
How many students have we got here? and what are youse all studying?

Haha I might say an early thanks for this:)
OK I'm in Yr 9 but we have important exams right now as well. And if I get the best grades then I get a Pachislo machine like Ben has:D
So thanks for the luck and good luck to everyone else!

Thats ok mate. good luck and try your best. Revise a lot and take breaks at regular intervals. It worked for me!! Don't panic either as if you prepare well enough you should be fine.

My dad got his uni results a little earlier becuase of logistics stuff.
Anyway, he's 50 and has just been declared redundant. Going to get a fair payoff but seriously looking at moving house by quite a way, and lots of other family stuff, so it's not something which will go down easily. Anyway, some good news, he got his degree results :
2 years of part time study around a 500 mile a week job (9>5 5 days a week, at 100 miles per day), and he got :
BSc (Hons) 2:1 in Engineering (Integrated Technologies) from the University of Sheffield.
As much as he annoys me some times, I can't help but be proud of him

I have just finished my second year at college studying BTEC National Diploma in Travel and Tourism. I have one year left. (I did a one year course before). I am hoping for Merit Merit Merit (MMM)which is 3 grade 'B' A levels. Or hopefully 1 'A' 2 'B's. Which is Distinction, Merit, Merit. DMM.
The course has no exams just course work.

If anyone is at or planning on going to university don't do what I did. 1st year eager beaver got top marks, 2nd year going out more & more by 3rd year lost most of interest and was leaving everything till last minute. For my degree none of 1st years results counted towards what grade degree you got it was all based on 2 & 3 year results so for that 1st year I could of totally tossed it off and got only bottom 40% pass on every module and it wouldn't of made any difference.
And as prizeguy said you can always resit one of my modules business law was Friday 8.30am start at a totally different campus that was miles away from where I lived it meant a train ride and then 2 buses. we always used to go out on Thursday nights and get really pissed needless to say I only made it to about 3 classes. Didn't even bother turning up for the exam and so had to resit. During the summer holidays I got hold of a guy who had been turning ups notes/book learnt them and sat and passed the resit in September. Only problem with that is if you have to resit the highest mark you can get is 40%

I am glad to hear of other hard working people. These people deserve the reslults from all the work they put in. 2:1 is great 1st is excellent. 2:2 still shows some hard work. Getting a degree is excellent, getting a job from it was hard at first for me. I am now doing training for a company and then the fun will begin. Anyway congratulations to you all or good luck for anyone taking exams soon. All that is left to do for some of you is to celebrate!!

I think the MSc takes over and you would only use one BSc but hey sounds funny LOL. Iv'e got BSc after my name but can't sign anything using it as it is only a title and not my name. Congrats to her.

yeah i dont put the letters after my name generally, although it is on my business cards now, only because every other person in the company did it.
