Ok well I'm nearing completeion and should have a beta version up later today. Its nowhere near complete. I'm releasing it so that people can see that this is real as it has been a while. Secondly if I release it now then it gives people a chance to notice quirks of the real machine which are missing. All of which I intend to include.
Version 1.0 beta known issues.
*Reels dont visibly spin, this is something I could use a little guidance with and so I'm leaving this because as long as the reels show the intended symbols it will do for coding purposes. (I am going to fix this but not yet)
*There is no reel lighting
*Nudges are NEVER given.
*Holds are NEVER given
There is a good chance that by release time these last 2 will be fixed. I am writing this to be as close as possible to the real thing and I dont want to write a simple piece of code just to make them work for release only to have to change it again. If it works by tonight then great if it doesn't then that part of the code with be cut out in the release.
*White lights around the "top Box" aren't animated yet. (There should be an attract mode once its all finished )
*No Sound
At the moment I am completeing the percentage engine and the gameplay code. Adding sounds in at the right moment should be easy but as I write now I haven't done it yet.
If I get the gameplay feeling about right then the sound should be in the first release as its an easy add in.
* No slave machines.
At the moment you are player 1 and thats it. Eventually there will be 3 slave machines on screen (either to the left or right or both depending on which player you are (you will be able to choose from players 1 - 4 and then 7 eventually). The slave machines can be turned on / off with selectable playing styles to give the illusion of other players playing with you. When they get partytime then you can see the top box spin and hear the "player 4 its you..." etc.
* No Network Link Play (Imagine Playing Party time against fellow fruit-emu'ers online)
I WILL code this in if its the last thing I do but don't expect it for a month or so. I'm moving in with some Masters Degree computing students so I'll ask them. I know they can do it and teach me how so it WILL happen. (eventually).

8PM tonight is my cut off time so I will be getting the files hosted then no matter how (in)complete it is.
Where can I host these files? On Here?
Also If you want some W.I.P Photo's then can someone give me an adress where I can host them.
Thanks for your patience with this it has been annoying that I didn't get going sooner but V1 WILL BE HERE TONIGHT.

What language are you writing this in?

Visual Basic (Don't Kill Me) - I've known BASIC since I was a kid on a ZX81 so Its my first choice as I have never coded anything that VB couldn't do. Although I admit C has its uses but for this it seemed easier.

Not another partytime machine, good luck to you mate and well done with the effort and all but quite frankly i would rather play with my purple veined leather headed heat seeking womb ferret than play with tic tac toe all day!!!!

Although I'm not proud of it, thats what I write as well .
If you need any assistance then give me a shout, I might be able to help.

Ok V1 is ready no sound, no nudges, no holds.
I may release a second update tonight with the sound in but I just realised its 10 past 8 so as promised its ready.
How do I host it on here or who do I send it to to get it hosted

Its allk running a bit fast and doesnt really feel like a machine proper yet (no nudges, holds or sound) but its more of an active demo of what is to come. PLEASE don't complain because its not finished, I Know its annoying me too.
Constructive criticism always welcome though, along with help, beer and money, lol.
V1.1 will be out tomorrow night. I literally got it to play without doing wierd stuff 5 minutes ago so another update tonight is possible.

5 minutes I need to change all the adresses for pictures to C: and not D: for those without a d: drive.
Can I attach them direct to this thread? Could someone give me a brief intro as to how to do that.
