For all of the people with DLL issues:

You MUST do the following after copying the DLL to System32:

Start > RUN and type "regsvr32.exe msstdfmt.dll"

A message should confirm that the DLL has been registered.

THIS STEP IS ESSENTIAL.

Maybe an idea to copyright it before you see it been sold on ebay at £5+ a time ;) Looks very good!

JamesBond would you mind me giving you a special mention in the credits for all this help? Since you seem to know what your doing with this dll stuff and I don't. :)

Is Ok the final releases will contain a warning in the splash screen saying "If you have paid for this you have been SCAMMED this is free software available from Fruit-Emu.com. Please report the person you bought it from to the relevant persons"

Alternatively maybe I could sell it on ebay for £5 a go. As long as you people know its free and don't pay for it then why should I care. ;)

I presume by the 5.1.2600 you are running Windows XP?

Does the icon for the file display the same way as it does in the screenshot below?

Ive managed to get the holds working but I cant get it to register wins using the holds. For some reason it never gives a win when you hold anything so its a bit pointless. I might rewrite the way it gives wins but could take a while

Maybe I should have done the nudges today. lol.

I might do the nudges tonight for a 1.3 release.

I'll add an options section tonight for the reel speeds and the percentage selection.

I'll update between now and 8pm.

I doubt I will be releasing a new version tonight I'm afraid. For some reason the first nudge button worked ok but the second one runs backwards for no reason and I copy-pasted the code. I'm obviously missing something but have been on this most of today and need a break. If things change then I'll post it Anew.

I'd reccommend you use a control array for the buttons and a single bit of code that is called, adjusted to suit whatever button has been pressed.

When I get the top box the wins shown do not correspond with the win given. I have just had a £135 straek on the top box but none of the wins I got matched the wins on the reels. Most of the reel combinations would have resulted in no win.
Anyone else having this problem or do you know what it is Guitar?
I used to be schitzophenic but were ok now.

Sorry but that sounds really ungrateful. Don't you think guitar has enough on his plate without people like you posting comments like that? I'd suggest just playing Pete's simulation then. Perhaps Guitar could drive around the country visiting everyone who can't get his simulation to run? Would that be OK?

There's more to life than fruit machines. I've got no interest at all in PT but obviously a lot of people have. Fair enough. There are a lot of older machines that I like and can't get to run. Tough shit!!!!

No wonder Guitar says he needs a break. It's all gimme gimme gimme.

Guitar, take a few weeks off mate ;)

witty welshman, you need to extract the files to the c drive so that they the path reads as the message says. it should extract to the c drive in a folder called fruit, if in any other folder then it wont run, its something I will fix but is secondary to the main features of the machine.

With the top reels when you hit a big "streak" there is a streak pot which pays out. the streak works slightly different to normal wins and bypasses a piece of code. this is causing the error. It can be fixed but I wanted to get the nudges and holds working. I've found the problem with the nudges and worked out how to fix it. I just need more time. Theres a similar fault where the lights go dark and the third reel doesnt reset.

Only reason I said I need a break is because I'd been at it all day and couldnt see the wood for the tree's. came back took one look and saw where the nudges were going wrong.

In a way its nice to see people a little impatient, I'd rather that than writing software that no-one could give a monkeys about once released.

In the meantime just pretend it has a Microsoft sticker on it and the faults and bugs seem quite ordainary. Lol. I'm quite drunk now so I'm off to bed. See you good people tomorrow (with another release and I'll actually release it tomorrow).

I could still use some artwork for this machine if anyone could oblige.

Once this is finished what should I do an MPU5 simulator or a Sec 16/21 sim?
