Is it not illegal for a manu to make a game where a feature never happens?

Had the darn pie factory for a couple of years (at least) now and despite many thousands upon thousands of plays, it has NEVER EVER given three red hots on a normal board. It only ever gives them on a superboard, or in demo mode.

Therefore, as the public are playing, with the intention of getting 3 red hots, and to all intents and purposes, it will not happen in the lifetime of the machine (or even my lifetime by the looks of things) then its a genuine con.

Surely this should be something that they could be sued over.....

not really anything illegal as we allknow fruit machines are pre determined so there cannot be a sure fire assurance that you should be able to get a a super feature on a normal board apart from invicible mode.

This is of a similar nature to the 'Fairplay' campaign is it not?

Well don't waste your time trying to prove anything, three 'HOT's can be obtained on a normal non red hat feature.

It's pretty rare, but it does happen.

To be honest it is no different to any other machine.

Back when I used to play machines seriously (now just the odd £5/10p machine when I'm out and about...) I used to play loads of Mazoomas (it's all the local pubs had!)

Stuff like High N Mighty (for example). I once got about £115 out of it with a couple of quid stake, back to back IMs, and a repeater thrown in for good measure.

Mazoomas almost always have 'light 3 symbols to open XXXX, light the same 3 red for INVINCIBLE'.

Well I've never made the 3 symbols go red WITHOUT the board already being an IM mode (flashing logo normally). Not once.

So while it's a bit shit that they don't give top features without the machine being in an IM state (either visible, or occasionally invisible), it isn't illegal in any way.

As for Fairplay, that was a whole different can of worms, and I'm sure we don't need to open that can again, not with Alth about :D

But now you know about that then surely its an advantage to you. NEVER gamble for the 3 RED HOT symbols unless its red anyway as you will lose. If you see someone doing it and lose then I bet you will be on there like a shot ready to collect their money another way. Would be one way of looking at it.

Modern Fruit Machines are no fun and because of people in the past moaning about fair play. I'm not starting an arguement or accusing anyone as I wasnt here to see who complained. Its merely an observation that modern machines are no fun because whereras before you had things like the cancel cheat which wasn't pointed out in any way and holds after nudges and third holds which were a kind of secret. Now I can accept that while the internet may well have changed that anyway, nowadays if you get the cancel cheat its no longer a cancel cheat. The cancel button or barcrest button (I'm sure there was a JPM button and vivid and red etc etc.) as it is now flashes to tell you theres a cheat whilst the display tells you to 'Hold em' or "Go ALL THE WAY". The IM board killed off the fun of playing as on most modern machines you know youre not getting more than a couple of quid out unless the thing flashes different colours and informs you that you are no longer gambling and that you are going to win anyway. Playing modern fruities you are better off putting in 1 or 2 pounds winning 3 - 5 (look at games like bfm where the £25 pound machines had a bar at £5) if your lucky and walking away. Then if your the lucky player who wins the big flashing board you win £25 instead of £3 and walk away happy. That way no-one ever walks away more than a couple of quid down. I can now see why lo-techs are becoming more popular as they are the same games with less bullsh*t. I play a bar X 10 almost the same way. Walk up put in 2 or 3 quid (if its 30p a go I always do £3) and then win £25,£10 or nothing. I've been quite lucky in the past with this method and £10 with holds occurs regularly for £20 or even £30. Most you lose per machine is £2-3 and If you go to a few different machines your likely to hit a £10 win to cushion the blow. Plus lo-techs can go for £125 or even more now and the fun of winning £20 without going through endless games of collecting 2 out of three streak symbols and dying soon after before you get a win of £25 which cost £35 anyway.

I'm sorry if that seemed like a rant I'm just annoyed that todays Hi-Tech machines aren't as fun anymore. They aren't worth playing end of rant.

If your looking for an example of what I would call fun get the JPeMu and Big Buck$. Set it to 84/86 % £4 JP 20P Play. Then download the BFM Tomb Raider and see which machine is the more fun and which you felt you won more money on. Obviously set them to the same %. Even better run £100 through each machine and see which machine you won more on.

I have to agree with this, I had Pie Factory for ages and I never had 3 x HOT's given to me... Again, only on Super Feature or Test mode (NEVER had a repeat on this machine either - was usually set to 10p/£5 JP. - On the odd occassion it was set to higher JP's, never had a repeat of any sort)
