It depend on whether you want an SWP or a megatouch. There are also other types of SWPs like Paragon 1,2 and 3 also Gamesnet, Fatbox and Itbox.
As far as i know the price from Herondata (www.herondata.co.uk) for a Paragon 3 or fatbox is £2,995. There are other SWPs like the gameboxes. I find the average starting price for a Gamebox is about £400 and going upto £595 for 6 extra.

Those prices were quoted from the coinslot mag, not the website.

If you don't mind a drive to Spalding I'm sure I can offer you a TOTP machine for bugger all
In all seriousness it depends on what kind of quiz machine you are after.
If you want something like a single game Millionnaire unit, my local seller had one on eBay for £295 (but I'm sure I could have haggled him down )
If you want a multi-game unit (Gamebox, Itbox, e.t.c.) you may be looking at larger suppliers, and will pay probably twice as much.
Theres some classic SWP machines out there which go for a great deal less and seem much less 'rigged' mind, so if you are going for fun, I'd look at older machines

it will be a multi-game machine really want one with a music quiz on it. the gamebox is that the jpm one??. i think that will be the one i want, i no you can get it with cluedo, pepsi chart quiz..i cant remember the other games, i think that is the gamebox 3 but not sure. as it goes on price i no that these go for around the £500ish mark so i think i can cope with that, its just finding one at a good price iv only seen them for £800 to 900 recently wich is outta my price range.
my m8 just txt me and said about the table top machines that have loads of games in them like space invaiders and all that kind of stuff, never seen em but may be worth thinking about if i cant find the other quiz machine.

I currently own a JPM Proteus gamebox4+ and must admit it is an excellant machine. If you do a search on ebay for "gamebox4+" you will find 1 or 2 a lot cheaper than £495 word of warning they are heavier than a fruit machine (150kg) I can put you onto someone that would sell you 1 for £300 but you would have to collect yourself.

im not getting one now, i went up 2 birmingham to a firm that sell jukebox`s and gameing machines town & country services they are called, and was told that they are nothing but trouble...(something to do with on of the chips inside) they always get these machines back with this problem everytime and costs £120ist to replace each time basicly dont touch em with a barge pole...anyway i was told that the megatouch was a much better option very reliable and alot more games in it (around 60 or 70) so i think im gonna go for one of the bartop machines or something in the megatouch range...(i only went up to buy a jukebox)...great service and they no what they are talking about so glad i took onboard what they had to say b4 i made the mistake of buying the jpm games machine. (they did have a busted jpm game box 4 machine in at the time and yes the weight did take the piss abit when the megatouch machines are really lighter).

why aren't there any emulators/roms for quiz machines? I find it pretty strange in this day and age you can find roms/emulators for pretty much everything. Fruit machines, arcade machines, home consoles you name it, everything apart from quiz machines.
Does anyone know of a reason why this is or is there a site that does them I don't know about?

Hi - I have the Cluedo quiz machine for the PC, which I take it was ported off a Gamebox. You can buy it off ebay - it's pretty good.

JPM took a f*****g fit and started threatening legal action, so it was removed from all forums etc.
Plenty of people still have it though

I CAN 100% BACK UP WHAT TOWN AND COUNTRY SERVICES SAID.
we have about 8 of the gamboxes left and they are a nightmare.
thats why games warehouse which made most of the gambox games decided to bring out their own cabinet, the paragon, which is now on its 4 build but the paragon 2 is the best and most reliable.

Baz, how much are Paragon1/ Paragon 2 to buy?

not sure about a paragon 1 but i think paragon 2's are still selling for 800 quid plus even if they are second hand.
the thing with the paragon machines is that you have to subscribe to the games which i belive is about £150 every 4-6 months depending how its being played but that subscription includes all updates and new games.
