Not sounding rude, but have you tried the obvious?

Are you running Windows'98? If so, make sure that flash & shockwave are running when you start up the emulator. Visit a website that uses them before you load any machines. I have slow reels if my computer crashes and I have to reboot this will happen to me too. I'm still Pentium 3 mind!!!

im running a 3.2 with 2mb l2cache and a nvidia ??600?? gfx card.

sometimes ive noticed the reel go so slow its like a crawl. the best solution ive found is to change the graphics settings from 32-bit to 16-bit or vice verse and it solves the problem.

some machines even run slow on my 3.4 p4 with 2mb l2 cache and my ati radeon x600 pro graphics card

as above 16bit resolution may help but i would think about upgrading your pc. its resources couldnt be too good for this type of gaming
