Saw one 10:30 last night. Definately the brightest I've ever seen but only lasted a fraction of a second.
Impressive though!!

I seen 6 meteors or shooting stars wotever you wanna call em'
I live in a flat top floor flat and i watched till 1am from my balcony, sky was clear and i got hardly any light pollution from the city.
I wanted to watch as they said on tv that this comet passed us long ago and the dust it gave off took as long as 500 years to reach us,2 of the meteors i seen were really bright and clear and the best i've seen.

I saw about 4 around 2am
Always impressive but not really worth the effort - they're literally gone in a flash.
I spotted a satellite or two as well. They are quite eerie - they look like stars moving fast in straight lines.

This pic of a meteor was taken last night by one of the members of a local astro society. Damn fine pic for an amateur don't you think?

It is possible to make it and see 2 in your life time. Wonder how many times Ady's seen Haleys Comet come around, maybe 4 or 5 .
