Hi guys.
I said I would phone tonight to my local B & B and try and find out the situation as far as rooms were concerned. Their flight home has been delayed from their holiday. Surprise surprise.
I've e-mailed them asking about availability. Can I just make sure that you guys are going? If you are I will book all 3 of us in (or in one across the road). What kind of rooms do you want?
If you prefer to book yourself, let me know and I will give you the numbers asap.
I am going to travel down on Thursday 14th. James has my mobile and I'll PM it to you Ady as soon as I get confirmation so that you can both contact me when you get to Blackpool on Friday.
Looking forward to it.
Gaz.

Oooh
Surely this could have been posted in PMs?
Personally I didn't like the look of Blackpool, last time I was in the area with Dad (he had some meetings at BAE nearby) we stayed at Lytham, in a Premier Travel Inn.
Not bad at all, the area is much less... well.. tacky than Blackpool

Ben you must have been staying at South Pier...lol. Everything is rough down there. Where did you visit?....and WE'D BETTER BE ALL STRAIGHT!!!!...PMSL
Tacky is what makes Blackpool great. I love all that kiss me quick stuff...lol
Nothing personal that needs to be posted in PM's Ben. No numbers or anything. All I've said is the weekend we are going. Unless a hit-man has a picture of us then there's nothing to worry about. All the personal stuff like phone numbers, places will be sent by PM I can assure you.
P.S. Mangolio. Haven't forgotten about you bud. I'll PM you my mobile too.

I know, but now I'm intrigued - if it hadn't have been posted on the forums I wouldn't be intrigued as to what to would have 3 people meet up in Blackpool... travelling long distances in the process
I would have said it was the worst possible time of the year to go but as you said the 14th I'm guessing you miss all the brats on holidays, which will be nice

Been advertised for a while Ben in the "What do you do for a living?" thread. Just thought it would be fun for a bunch of people if they have time off work to meet up for some beers, some fruitie chat and find some birds (maybe!!) in Blackpool. The lights are switched on 1st September so it will be really busy too as it's a bank holiday in Scotland.
Yer welcome to come but I need to know in the next couple of days so I can book the rooms required.

i live next to Blackpool and work in Blackpool and the tackiness is what makes it ehat it is. I was reading on the internet they want to get it classed as the next wonder of the world as it was the 1st registered beach resort.
Who would have thought it, you can go to see the pyramids or have a stroll along the golden mile both with the same extravagance.
I agree with Gaz that the tackiness is what makes Blackpool what it is. Aswell as the tower, the beach, the piers, the shows, the free top theme park, the illuminations and the nightlife. Gotta say actualyy it is pretty good.
P.S. Lytham is a very dull place that classes itself as being better than rest. Same as St Annes next to it.
I am on the night out aswell and cant wait.
I used to be schitzophenic but were ok now.

Huuu!!
It's known as having a good time ben, better go to Blackpool than stay in some boring little village playing Dominoes all night as thats the highlight!.....
The thread was made (rather than PM's) so if more wanted to go they could...You appear to show some interest with the amount of replies you made lol.
Talking of Tacky, I drive to Benidorm Twice a year....1000 miles...thats a distance, and no different to going to Blackpool.........cant really see your concerns Ben?

Yep still going - but have had a few blazing rows with my mrs about this (she insists I will be just going up there to score some women -- lol..) I will book it myself if you can send me details, so at least I can prove I am only paying for one and not some secret girl I am meeting up with, or that some girl is paying for me (never heard of that before).
So if you can send me the details I will book it.
Cheers
James

No worries James (women eh?).
I am going to leave it until Saturday afternoon as the owners flight was due back late (probably due to the current terrorist frenzy). What I'll do is find out how many rooms are available for Friday / Saturday night. If I can't get you both into my usual don't worry as they have contacts in the same street. I'll post back here on Saturday afternoon / evening and PM you both hotels & numbers. Don't think there'll be any deposit necessary. If there's any probs with these just PM me.
P.S: What's the chances of getting some T-shirts made up for the occasion?

Hiya guys.
Need to know what kind of room(s) you are willing to take as my B & B is packed. They have put me in the broom closet basically. Like I said, they have contacts and the one next door called Pier View has rooms available. Now I could give you the number and you could book yourself but the guy that runs my b&b has assured me that he will definitely get you in if you let me know. Do you want single rooms or are you happy with a twin room. Do you want en-suite?...and will you still take it if it's not. Let me know ASAP.
Gaz.

Ady...Yer there...Would you be happy sharing a twin (single bed) room with James? I could book it now.
Stop editing yer posts. You still may have to phone to confirm but I'll find out whenever James posts and I phone 'em back.
I'm like you Ady....I'd sleep on top of the bar!!!...lol
