in fairness to those posting for cheats and tips, try typing in fruit machine hints into google and this place comes up as the 5th hit.

I know we have parts on this forum pertaining to not asking for hints and cheats, mainly in the T&C and forum rules but i can't honestly think of the last time i read any of those things when i signed up to a forum.

His intial post was courtious, a thanks at the end. He actually asked for hints on things like the best features to take....although he may have wanted cheats he never actually asked for them it sounded more like he was after general gamepaly help.

Straight away came the noob bashing brigade..nice work guys, done yourselves proud once again (seem to remember a post recently about this where people not to be quite so harsh!)

Fine so the guy wanted hints, a simple we don't actually do hints here its for general emulation instead would have sufficed. We don't exactly get flooded with these kind of posts on a daily basis.

Lighten up, the guy could just have easily been converted to the ways of emulation and found this site extremely interesting...suppose we wont find out now though eh!

1) It says so on the homepage. It is the first thing you see m8 at the top of the screen. Was the first thing I saw when I joined.

2) You really should read stuff. It helps in life's great education....lol

1) i never even looked at the homepage when i joined it went straight to the forums, i very rarely even look at it now so i think thats a perfect excuse

It happens, but you get stupid questions on just about every forum, the key is to handle it in the right way. most that post asking for cheats etc do so in a pretty polite way, they will obviously have missed the part of the site saying we do not give them out otherwise they wouldnt have posted.

Seems to be very little tolerance on this site at times of people who dont know whats going on. yes in the majority everyone is very helpful but every now and then everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon and go for a bit of "have a pop at the noob" day

I agree with most of what you say Jimmy,and im guilty of giving out stick myself,but some people should know better.
As James wrote in this thread earlier Beadleboy has been on here for seven months and should know the ins and outs of this place by now,yet he gives a reply that will only encourage the reply's from which it recieved.

i agree...... sometimes i think the n00b bashing is taken to an extreme..
I mean as jimmy said this site comes up fairly high on the search engines when shit like that is typed in so you cant blame em..

The only time i think its really called for is when they are just demanding little f***ers..... or rude just as Beadleboy was.

Otherwise just a polite 'thats not what this site is for etc etc' will usually go a long way.

Never know some of these people could have been good members given the chance but as jimmy said we'l never know.
Im sure theres alot of great members on here who's first posts wernt that far from what some of these n00bs are getting attacked for.

And this thread was a prime example of what i dont really think should happen.... the guy wasnt even given a chance really.

Exactly..... i noticed the minuite that more of these threads started to pop up than usual.... and im sure i suggested that if these threads are left to ride then more will turn up, which they did.

I really think that the moment these threads are started that they should be abyssed.... and the thread name changed to 'DO NOT POST THREADS ASKING FOR EMTIERS ETC' and also sticky threads made in certain forum sections so that n00bs will see this straight away..

Tbh im suprised this hasnt been done already and im sure if it was we'd all notice a hell of a difference.

BUt then thats a chance we would have to take, maybe get a sponsor from the site for redirecting NObs there, when you think of it? sending nobs to a nobs site? typed in gays r us? and believe it or not? there is such a named site ( www.gays-r-us.xxxdated.com/ ) lol
so a message board set up with questions, like how to empty section 16's ? when selected would send you too ?? one site,
next question, how to fiddle your local arcade owner? direct to a different site , etc etc etc
