of course i am but if you all wanna be like that then think where you are all getting your games from you you sure AINT paying for them, ya ripping them off from the programmers who wrote the code. as for contributing well your only contributing the hard work of the programmers who designed the games. the games are stolen from the chips so sure why not share everything else? its not as if your already sharing their code anyway just in bigger bulk

i didnt have an attitude until those guys started having one towards me, i asked a simple question and i gave my honist opinion. its no big, its not like i was desperate for it anyway. i just happened to see a topic on it so i made a request thats all

Just to clarify ruler, theres more that goes into these emulations than just taking te code..... many people in this scene put money, time and alot of hard working hours into making them ......
You cant expect people to send dvd's to leechers like you im afraid :/

leecher? f*** you im no leecher! i registered on here ages ago but was only here the once due to loss of internet connection and recently been back online so as for contributions i think its a bit early for all that since ive only tried a few of the games on here. with the attitudes im getting from all of you i dont think i would donate the drippings off my arse, as i said i was only asking. i sure hope nebies read this post so that they know what to expect from this forum

No.... but the fact that your not an active member of the forums and contribute nothing towards the scene doesnt give you a right to get arsy and tell us that that we should upload all these emu's etc to torrent groups or send them to you in the post, just because we didnt write te code ourselfes ffs....

I think this has been a bit overblowed from both sides.

What our guys are basically trying to say Ruler is that the layouts are put together by memebers of this site, They put the hard work in, spend the time and the money making it better for other people.

What your asking for is a single click "Wham Bam Thank you Man" of everything ever made. Personally this isnt such a big issue apart from the fact that when you go to the download you acknowledge that persons work by downloading it.

If you go p2p or torrent then your not really acknowledging the peoples work and if anything its going Around www.fruit-emu.com to get its work. A bit like me going into Limewire and downloading Office 2003 and a no cd key rather than getting it from microsoft.

I know its handy because its all together and its a case of off you go once its installed but think of all the updates you would of missed out on, plus the hoster of this file - does their internet access get paid by the people who download it ?

The basic rule is if you download it from here then you show your support for the people that put the work in and also the site continues to run with your support by donation or advert banner. Its easy to say you are a leecher but i know your after the quick restore and start playing again its just that others see this as f*** you where can i download it once so i dont have to be here and support the scene.

Any new people reading this should understand that Fruit-Emu and all its contents are funded by its memebers and Duplu, We dont charge for anything we do (1 because we dont own the rom and 2 because were not assholes) but the Layouts are 100% homegrown so your donations go towards these resources being available for years to come.

In the words of Bob Geldof - Give Generously as next year PCB could be a reality and we would love somewhere to host it.

i didnt say you 'should' i just said it kinda sux and i didnt say you should upload it to p2p sites either and i only respond arsy to arsy replies, you could have said sorry but we only share with 'brown nosers' and maybe a few other special butt kissers, its simple as that. think about it ffs if you give abuse your sure gonna get it back regardless.

how do you know that i wasnt going to make a donation? well i wouldnt now for sure even though i 'have' donated very generously on other sites.

Ruler, I have read this thread from the start and i'm reading the opinions of my peers and other members from a different angle to yourself.....

If you had bothered to read the forums on this topic you will see that these DVD's are available....usually free to *active members.

I say *active as a thanks to people that make my hobby interesting, not to send to people who just come here and don't contribute an any way at all.

Why BT when theres active sites like this anyway?......makes them a little more interesting you ask me.

The £1.92 can be sent to Duplu to assist the site running.
