A flash hold HAD always been a hold after a nudge. However, like previously discussed, some machnines had features/sub games that flashed the reels once - very fast. this was then known as a flash hold.

so, old timers call them flash holds, newbies call it the long winded hold after the nudge.

yawn

sorry to keep you up nails...........the hour clock change obviously has its effects on you !

didnt leave the stadium till really late last night. even the extra hour didnt make much difference.

imagine a big pile of £5k in mixed noted, £200 in assorted coins and you cant go untill its all accounted for.

its a hard life.

Yeah but that dosent answer my question i never normaly play BAR X type machines ive only played golden game once i think put about £20 through it with nothing in return i tend to stick to hi-tech AWP's apart from Party Time which is also a heap of dung..So wtf is a "flash hold" :) Wins on the reels and then a quick flash but the hold buttons dont light or whit ? Im very stupid ye know :D

In saying that the day i "won" my £75 i put 3 quid into a is it super bar 10 or summat ?? 30p play X's give £10 BARS give £15 Yellow 7's £25..got 3 nudges and nudged in a tenner paid out 5 coins then IOU came up just lucky the woman who works there walked past at that exact moment and she went and got me my other fiver..I was wondering is there and emptier for this machine (not that i want to know it) had someone raped the hopper before i got there ?
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)

I'm typing this on a PDA so the formatting is screwy and I can't tell if the question way above was answered or not so here goes!

Flash Hold is NOT 'hold after nudge'. It's when you already have winning symbols on the winline (or feature symbols in view) and the hold buttons flash quickly - not in a sequence, just all at the same time, normally for ABOUT one second. When you hold all the reels it gives the winline or symbols in view again.

Hidden Holds are the same thing without flashing, which is why I always hold a winline after a win just in case (I said hold, not smack repeatedly like a 70 year old smelling of cabbage, ashtrays and copper).

"get a grip and open ur eyes u hun f**ks."

Sorry, woah, woah, woah, I'm confused by this now.

It's the word 'hun' that is confusing me.

Secondly could someone explain what a thread split is please?

I was doing so well as I'm a flash hold expert. Any fruity hints tips tricks nicks rips fiddles riddles or squiddles I'm usually on the ball, but hun f**ks has f**cking confused me. I don't get all this wierd 'hun' speak.

Steven I presume from your name you are a celtic fan as I am "hun f**ks" is not a phrase anyone outside of Glasgow/Scotland will understand so to say such a thing is pretty pointless ?? Who was it aimed at anyway ?

Just to bring the other guys up to speed on this..

Tim (there are other expletives for this word)=Celtic fan
Hun(as above)=Rangers fan

If your a supporter of either side of the 2 Glasgow teams you would understand.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)

Ben that's the nail on the head IMHO. You got it sopt on.

I guess to sum it up, everyone uses different fruity terms and that's why we're all confused here. Some people think flash holds are hold after nudges, some people call em cancellations etc...Some people think it as entirely different.

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.

You try navigating through forum menus on a PDA with a 3" screen, I'm amazed my reply was actually posted (I assumed it would time out, probably took 10 minutes to write!)
