Hi guys anyone help me out on this one..because in approx 1 hours time the Windows CD-Rom is coming out im F11'ing it..I basically effed up my pc by installing one of those Vista transformation packs..Yeah i know..read the small print we cannot be held responsible for any damamge to your operating system..So when i uninstalled it,,it messed up the boot sector of my OS wouldnt even boot into Windows.
Ran the recovery console and done fixboot..Still wouldnt boot into windows..so i F11'ed it and reinstalled windows without formatting..Ok so now windows loads fine and all my programs music etc is still there..But when playing a video..browsing the net..the screen seems to freeze for just a split second..and moving the mouse around the screen also freezes..Its really annoying..Ive ran every registry recovery program i can think of..went in and deleted all associated files to do with the vista thing..Ran anti-virus scans..Spyware scans..all came back clean..but its still doing it.
Any help would be most appreciated.Dont wanna Format the fooker.but if i need to i need to...Cheers guys
Helpppp !!!!

you dont need to format the drive, just re-install windows using the upgrade option and NOT fresh install.
it sounds like the registry is damaged.

are you now running vista?
That is a lot more resource hungry, but not overly so imho
I have a dual boot xp/vista although admit I work in xp most of the time becuaes of the pauses in vista
If still XP can you give more explanation of when your pc slows? i.e. file access/playing mfme etc?

Thanks for the feedback guys but your posts arrived a little too late as i couldnt be arsed with it and formatted it.Could have spent hours trying to see why it kept freezing for that split second after i had removed to vista transformation pack..No rarnold i wasnt running Vista it was still XP just changed the look of the desktop taskbar and icons to make it look like vista..but when i uninstalled it my pc was well f***ed up..Aw well as Alth said.."lesson learned"

hirens boot cd has a program on called bootmagic should let you boot a damaged xp machine
www.9down.com has it or torrent sites
http://www.bootdisk.com/
should have something to start if that does not work best off formating
use style xp for theme lot easier
paragon partion manager version 8 good for one dvd auto install backups depending on backup size of course
hope some of that helps not not allready solved
