When this bigger jackpot comes out later this month i would imagine operators will be upgrading their £25 machines to £35 within a few months,
Can anyone tell me if say Red gaming machines from 2002 can be upgraded ? Or say a Barcrest from that era ?
Or will it be recent machines only.
When the £15 JPs Got upgraded to £25 there were a few machine ( pre 2000 ) that were stuck with the £15 jp.
Any engineers or techy guys know any cut off dates, ect ?

I don't know for sure but I would expect it will depend on demand. With the liscence being significantly higher I would expect demand to be lower for these machines. Especially with the relatively new sec 16 market. If you care about the bigger jackpots then the sec16's will appeal more I would imagine.
Also the upgrade will happen from now on and then backwards dependant on demand.
Ths is what I would expect but I'm sure someone in the industry can advise you better.

If you go to Empire's site and look at Reel or No Reel you'll see they have put settings for the £35 decals...And if you enlarge the picture there's a £35 cash shot up there.
This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.
If you are more interested in playing modern machines,
visit Jackpottyforums
(DOND is around now on this site..... How long was this sig out of date...!)

I'm just dissappointed that seeing as £25 JP machines get an upgrade to £35 JP, why havent they done the same with the £5 JP machines? If upgraded by the same percentage, we'd have a £7.40 JP Not that would be ace as It would cover the price of a decent take-away for the journey home.

% will probably be the same.
we have to wait to find out how red gaming machines will play but i suspect the will play the same.
and dont expect every pub to change straight away,we are trialling 12 pubs at the end of the month that have 2 machines.one will be on £25 and one will be on £35.they will run for about 8 weeks and we will see if the £35 machine does any better.

I also heard that in arcades s16/21 whatever they are called in its format!, the JP is to be REDUCED to £400, is this correct?

to £400, is this correct?
No, but as said above, max 4 per site. Also the jackpot can be up to £1000, and they don't have to be random any more.

Re:- Reduction to £400
Hmmm, I heard that from an actual arcade owner, who's a mate and not just as spoken to as an 'an arcade user'
Are we 100% on this?

belhaven have asked for a £35 jackpot machine on trial for 6 weeks in the cally.it will either be a mazooma - money mad monsters, red gaming on a roll or a bellfruit deal or no deal thats just a rough guess as thats theonly 3 kits we are getting free of charge.
regarding the section 16's
the only thing i know off is that each arcade will only be allowed 4 machines.dont know anything about the jackpots changing which i doubt will happen unless they go up.
the new lottery club machines which have a 1000 or 2000 jackpot are still going through the licensing stages as there is quite a lot of red tape i believe.

Re Deal or no deal,
Is there two awp versions of this out then ?
Ive seen a picture of another one bit its only got the 3 reels and a different board layout ( had £35 jp ) Still got Edmonds ugly mug all over it though....
Hopefully whatever it is , it will mean the end for that rotten machine in there just now ( Ant & Dec).

machines that have been released in the last month get free upgrade kits and all new machines from novenber 1st should come with all £35 decals and £25 decals.
law change comes into effect on nov 1st.
machines have been delayed until law change so no piccys as yet.
