Have not used my GLOBAL - Hurricaine for about a week, turned it on today and it went mental with a loud siren and said 'MEMORY RESET'. Im thinking that this is some form of battery backup that has failed, a bit like a PC's CMOS battery.

Im hoping that these machines dont use flash rom or something that is not easily replaceable.

Any of you engineer guys give me some help! I have some 2032 or similar lithuim sells if that is what I need.

Its definately not a cr2032 you need. The battery back-up is soldered to the mainboard i believe. BUT someone on here will have the right one they could sell you I would imagine. Does the machine continue once the memory has reset? Because it should continue and then start with a new percentage setup.

Obviously every time you turn it off its going to reset but at least the machine isnt dead.

When I say percentage setup I mean it will start again at 0 in 0 out.

Can anyone sell me the battery I need ? I've soldered PC ones on before, where a few cells are shrink wrapped into a package. So if anyone can oblige that would be great.

before you buy a new battery.power the machine up again try some coins through it with the doors closed.

switch the machine off leave for abot 2 mins then switch it on again.

if it powers up ok then its not the battery and the machine should be ok.
