Is it possible to rip part of a movie and play it straight away with a double click?.
Im currently using Power DVD to watch my films,im mainly interested in capturing the start and end titles of films for a little project im thinking of doing.

In the past I have used AoA DVD Ripper, you can select the start/end of the section you want and it will save it to an avi. format for you. Probably get a 30day free trial if you download it. (Unless your familiar with torrents).

TMPGEnc dvd author or AutoGordianKnot will do you trick. Do a google for them or torrent search.
Well I jumped into the river
Too many times to make it home
I'm out here on my own, an drifting all alone
If it doesn't show give it time
To read between the lines

i use ulead movie5/factory. just import the chapters from the dvd and they are saved as .avi

if you using a copy protected disc, either use something like dvd4free or dvd decryptor to make your own region/ccs free disk first.

lots of different ways m8, there are also dedicated dvd2avi programs avail.
