Well, as some of you know I won an auction on ebay for a club psycho cash beast machine on the 5th of october. Well, last thursday my mum and i were getting frustrated so we sent a message, they replied with, send us your number and we'll get in touch.

Thursday afternoon, they rang saying we can deliver cpcb saturday morning, well, I thought that was great, this weekend I was going on holiday with my dad, so we went, before we even got there, I get a phone call from my mum saying they've looked at cpcb at it's broken, something to do with the glass. They said either wait for it to be fixed or switch to club monty python's flying circus, I went for cmpfc, saturday morning it came. They didn't even do a demonstration of the machine, and here's the conciquence.

About 30 minutes ago, I go to turn it on for the 1st time, it started off alright, until after the reels had span, an alarm went off, then it said pnd opto blocked, then tamper.

I got rather frustrated, so I had a quick look inside, I couldn't see much wrong with it but then again I'm no expert, or even close.

So I do need some advice, if anyone can help it'll be fantastic, I'll post everything it says if needed.

Thanks in advance,
Jimbob219

either you have a £1 coin jammed in the £1 hopper (bonus!!!!) or you have a faulty hopper.

the payout tray can be disconnected with the plug at the left hand side of the paytray.

you then need to remove the screws that hold either the plastic or metal surrond the covers the hopper.

once you can get your hand into the actual hopper(you will see 4 small round holes where the £1's fall into)turn the hopper anti clockwise and then clockwise.

hopefully a £1 coin will fall out.

if it looks like there is nothing jamming the hopper then you've received a duff hopper and get in touch the arses that sold you it.

Hopefully what baz say's would fix it,

But in the real world if it don't there's only Three options....

You contact THEM and ask what THEY are going to do about it..

Leave (Sad option) bad feedback

Get no joy from those you send your Dad around with a Biggish bat!

its not the coin mech you need to remove.

its the part underneath wher the £1 coins payout from.

if you are really unsure about unplugging or removeing thins then get back in touch with the seller.

was it a private sale or froma company that sells on ebay.

I see what you mean now yes.

I did remove it and had a bit of a look.

Gave up with it, tried to get it back in and it wouldn't fit, I'm really getting annoyed now. Knew this would happen as soon as my step-dad said that they gave no demonstration.

And yes it was a company seller.

Jim the hopper opto is like an eye that reads the pound coins as they come out of the hopper. The opto is blocked, so when the machine powers up and sees that it goes into alarm.

You need to remove the hopper shelf from the machine, unscrew the lid from the hopper and have a look inside. There will be a wheel that turns and pushes the coins out. Put your hand in and manually turns the wheel at least a couple of revolutions clockwise and anticlockwise. Hopefully a coin or something will come out. If not try putting a pound coin into one of the wheel holes and manually turn the wheel until the coin comes out. Keep turning to make sure the whole thing is clear.

Now replace the hopper shelf (or at least plug it back in so the machine can boot), and power the machine up. Hopefully it will work.

If not you need to remove the hopper shelf and physically remove the hopper from the shelf, away from the metal chute (or the metal chute away from the hopper). Should just be half a dozen pozi screws. Now you can see the place where the coins exit the hopper. Make sure this is clear of bent coins, fluff and anything else.

Reassemble and power the machine back up. Should work mate.

If not don't panic or get upset. It can be fixed whatever the problem is. There's loads of guys here to help.

:)

Good luck!
Watch out! There's a SIG thief about...

Ok, thanks steve that was some good advice, I rang up the company and they said the black lead coming out the hopper may of been loose, but it wasn't that. So I've unplugged the hopper and taken it out, now I'm waiting for my step-dad to get home from work for him to get a screwdriver.

I know ady, sorry, I'm more calm now.

UPDATE

Some dude is coming out tomorrow to fix it.

I did what everyone has said and taken it out, unplugged this and that, but didn't have a screwdriver or something to get the hopper off.

So, just a quick note saying tomorrow my fruitie shall be fixed (hopefully) ^_^
