Hi everyone,
I've been searching on the www for many a month looking for such a site as this and atlast i'm here.
The trouble is i have no experience with emulators so i really dont know where to start.
Me and the misses have spent many a night at the casino here and in Las Vegas and we have been looking for some way to still play our favourate machines at home. Poker downloads are now ten-a-penny but i've found it hard to find authentic machines to play. Low and behold i find this wonderful site and i am truly thankful.
Please will somebody here advise me on what i have to download / install etc to make playing these machines possible.
In particular there is one machine that was a big favourite of mine a few years ago called Casino Crazy. While i was lurking around this site last night i found a file to download that contained this very machine.
So what do i need to start and how do i intregrate this downloads to play Casino Crazy ( Club ). The wife will be so happy.
Thanks for your time and i hope somebody is prepared to help somebody new to the scene...........
Sincerely yours
Pokerbrat

Hello and welcome to FME (Fruit Machine Emulation)

Bit tricky to run a machine at first, but you'll soon get the hang of the 1000+ on here.

Firstly there's different Emulators to run different tech's, but these links will get you started.

Emulator here :- http://www.fruit-emu...ads&showfile=21

Download it and place in a folder on your desktop, unzip and you'll see a fruit machine logo.

Now a machine, http://www.fruit-emu...hp?do=cat&id=18 (click a tech to expand) most of these will run on it. Create a new folder named something like 'machines' -- when you see One you like download it to that folder unzip it and open the Emulator.

Top left of the emulator is file>load game....basically thats it!

The Knowledgbase has loads of FAQ's you WILL encounter at first, give it an hour and you won't look back!

This is only One of the Emulators........get to grips with that then expand, eg to JPM etc

Thanxs go to adydb and cloud for their advise. Managed to follow your guide and off i went.......... then even managed a search and added a couple more especially a Grand Slam version. I won and lost thousands in this machine over the years. A long lost friend.

Cheers and many thanks

Basic and well explained, ade, I know you have the knowledgebase, but this basic explanation for newbies would be a good sticky

Hello from a confused newbie
I have downloaded and installed 'the latest copy of 'FMEIW' which contains 'BFMulator', 'JPeMu', 'MFME', 'Uninstall' and 'Fruit EMU Website' as advised which is now installed in a folder in program files. If I follow this topic and threads do I now need to download and install
http://www.fruit-emu....?do=file&id=21 and
http://www.fruit-emu....p?do=cat&id=18

If this is the case do I install them to the same folder as the copy of FMEIW that is now installed or a different folder?
Many thanks
aw56001
PS Is there a topic/thread that tells you how to get going in easy step by step stages for dummies like me - I couldn't find one

The tutorials will give you an idea of how to get your first emu up and running.

http://www.fruit-emu...ategory-c1.html

The updated emulators can be place anywhere you want on your computer but it makes sense to put them in the same directory as the original. You can then create some program links to the files.

I guess we really need to update FMEIW. This is Wozza's project and I know he's really busy at the moment.

Hello
Yes, I've already been there - thats how I downloaded FMEIW. The link tells you how to download FMEIW (which I did) and doesn't tell you any more. Then I go to the MFME 1.1 tutorial and try to load a game using FILE then LOAD GAME which displays LAYOUTS and SHOTS in the MFME folder but both are empty.
It's probably very simple but I seem to be missing something.
Could you please tell me what (if anything) to download next?
Many thanks

Did you read the second page?

http://www.fruit-emu...&id=6&pagenum=2

This has links to the different emulator downloads and all the machines. I would suggest downloading the emulator updates from the downloads section and ensure you run the correct emulations in the correct emulator. Each section is marked as to what emulator they are for, so you shouldn't go wrong,

well, you got your emulators (mfme3.0, jpmemu and bfemulator) now you need the roms to run (games to play)

its a good idea to have seperate directories in which to store your roms, like -

barcrest mpu3-4
barcrest mpu5
scoprion4
jpm

something like that, when you have unzipped a game/rom file to that directory, fire up the emulator, and `load` that rom into memory and play away.

There is a whole host of pros on here, feel free to ask.
