I've just joined the gang so thought i would say hello,

Right im new to all of this and never played on a fruit machine but would like to buy one for use at home.

I've got a few machines i like the look of...
Monopoly wonders of thr world
Shark raving mad
Monty python
double dragon

does any one own these or played on them?
Im looking for an uptodate machine with lots of features so it wont get boaring, if any one knows any other machines that would be a good purchace or ones to stay well clear of i would be very greatfull for your thoughts. Ive just got no idea which and what to buy:bigeyes24:

Save your money pal. I'm sure many who own a machine will agree with me when I say this.

The machine will be played to death initially but within weeks, the novelty will wear off. It will still be played but you'll find theres something missing from the experience. And that is the fact that each time you win, you are winning your own money. Part of the addictiveness of a fruit machine is winning other peoples money. Or leaving with more money than when you started.

Understand what your saying,
I own 3 pachislo machines which take tokens and have lcd screens but not really got much game play but fruit machines have lots of game play so thought it would be ideal to get, dont really get board playing on the pachislos so really cant see myself getting fed up with a fruit machine, would make a good money bank too.

Pachislos do have a small skill element even if they do slip the reels about 4 spaces. They go insane on features and are hi tech in terms of the LCDs over reels etc.
Fruitys here are mostly predetermined, you might see yourself getting the same board over and over, but they are fun and have lots of gameplay...It's whether you can harness it.
If you were to buy one I'd say Monopoly or Shark Raving Mad. The Monopoly one has a lot of good gameplay and a lot to do in the board, and the blue-red board on SRM gives a good amount of skill on how you use the gameplay.

This is a site for EMULATION purposes of older machines. Not playing strategies.

im going to do some ringing around some suppliers to get some more info.

Think it will be a toss up between those 2 though. some one told me monopoly can over heat if there isn't a fan fitted. Theres so much to look into on these dont want one that will pack up on me as i dont drive and it would cost me a fotune to sort it!! its also hard to pick a good business to buy off. some on ebay have rubbish feed back some of the warrintys are just as bad.

if the power supply has a cooling fan fitted (which you can ask before you buy) then bellfruit machines are pretty reliable.

Ive had loads of machines over the years, and its true. after a couple of weeks ?? you play them less and less, i only used to play mine in the end when i had guests, we would do like £10 each and see who could win the most, or my mam would play it all the time.
BUT all is not lost....................................................... > as now theres fruit-emu, which you have found and joined, i havent had a machine now for a few years. And to be honest with you since emu? theres no need, i used to go to town and play them? not anymore. i have no more need. so my suggestion would be........ spend the next 6 weeks HERE ! download all you can, play all you can, morning noon and night, until you find that one machine you like? then play it for 4hrs every day, without restting the ram, or clearing the bank etc etc. and see how long you play it until you get fed up and play something else, i bet you wont last a week until you open up another fruit machine for a change of play. also monopoly is out there to play? so download it and try to do what i said above? bet you cant?
any one else want odds on this? 4-1 against

Sorry, but you're looking for an UP TO DATE machine, with lots of fun features?

I've not found ANY in the last 4 years lol.

I quite like the erm.... dunno what it's called, pyramid shaped (kinda like Jackpoteers but start in the middle and work ya way out). Jungle based or something. Maybe Aztec somthing?

Sorry, not much help :) (also I don't know / like many of th new ones)

Hi Toma,

I do agree with what the others are saying about playing the machine less over time.
The Fruit Machine emulations on here are Brilliant and Full Respect to the guys for taking all the time to make them..Many Thanks.

For me owning a Real Fruit machine is also about the money box side, ive found over the years ive saved alot more money than if id just put it in savings account or money box.

If you have the money to buy a real machine and also the space to put it then Go For It!

Id be a little weary of buying from Ebay,im not saying dont, just be very careful.

As for which machine to buy i went with themed machines and still have alot of fun playing them.

Good Luck if you do buy one.

Chips.

It's a buyers market on eBay at the moment, so if you really want a machine then now is the time to get one. You should be able to get a decent one for around £100, unless you want something super-modern.

The only thing is delivery. That can cost you the same as the machine if you are not careful. Ideally wait for one fairly locally and go and collect it yourself (borrow a mate's van if poss). You can play it to death and then resell it again, you should get at least half your money back within a year (and that's not bad for months of entertainment)

I've got loads of machines - problem is I never want to sell 'em!! :bigeyes20:

You won't get a lot of help from them - and if you do they will want top dollar. IMO you are far better going down the eBay route. And if the machine does break down :bigeyes01: then you've got no end of technical support from these forums.:bigeyes20:

Just my opinion mind...:bigeyes02:

Ask what power supply is fitted. If it's a "sanken" you will be alright but if it's a stadium make sure the fan is fitted and working. The older stadium's without the fans are pants.

I have had quite a few of my own and yes of course they get played less after a while but as mentioned before I used mine more as a money box, I used to save up my change when I had been out and play it through when I got in, the best time I had is when the money started dropping down the back when I thought it was no where near so i had a nice £125 sat inside waitin for me. Also if you ever have mates round it can pay for itself in one night because mine have several times.
All mine have been off ebay and have never had a problem with them, I always pay cash on collection I would just tell em to stuff it if it was crap and nothing like they had described, doubt they would leave a neg on u as they know you will just leave it back.

Licensed sellers are way over priced if you ask me as you can get the same machine for cheaper on ebay.
I used to be schitzophenic but were ok now.
