When I first installed it, all seemed to be ok.....great emu btw, even down to the coin sound effects, nice detail :D

Recently, its started pausing?? i.e if I say press hold or start etc, it may pause for a sec, then run.....then maybe ten secs later, pauses again??
Even does it if its half way through spinning the reels??
Quite an odd problem...

I upgraded BF up to the test version, which in a lot of respects seems a lot smoother, but still the annoying pause problem.

I have checked my machine for other services running that may be either consuming too much processor time, and or anything that could be causing the pauses, but couldnt really find anything wrong at all.....

Running a P4 3Ghz extreme with 1gb ram, pci express graphics card....not the fastest by todays standards but no slouch either

Any suggestions??

Rob

Sadly no.....unchecked the use bitmapbuffer option and its still the same??

Its not as such running slowly. When its not between pauses as such, its quick and responsive. The reels scroll smootly, and sound seems ok....

But just for some reason, it decides to pause briefly, then all ok afterwards til about maybe 10-15 secs later, it pauses again. Half a sec or a sec later, unpauses, then back to normal.....rather odd really??

I would check my running processes in background..sounds as if there is something running in the background eating your cpu all be it for a brief period of time.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know. :)
