surprised you havent seen the discussion on this previously, whilst its generally discouraged and many pretty much detest people like this theres very little that can be done about it.
The individual sales can be reported and possibly removed but often return very shortly after.
Plenty of new members appear having bought one of these DVD's so its not all bad.
Its not good but its also not a lot can be done about it

I saw a thread at fruit forums about a member there that was selling them. Although he was pretty disliked as Jimmy said there wasnt much they could do. On his listings he states he has created all the work on the discs ( a total lie) but that allows him to list it without removal as he has infringed no other work. Also ebay policies state it is ok to sell items like that if the material is available in the public domain, which unfortunatelly it is. He must have made a fair bit from them aswell as he is a powerseller.
I used to be schitzophenic but were ok now.

If he's selling MFMEv9.4 within his package, maybe he could be 'done' for selling stolen goods.

First of all you'd need to prove it was 'stolen'

In saying that my younger brother just bought one off ebay a couple of weeks ago (Yeah I know...Ive already kicked him in the balls) but he said he couldnt be arsed downloading them all individually.
However it came with a letter saying..I am in no way taking any credit for the layout designers hard work that has went into making these fruitys..The £5 you pay me is to cover costs for the 2 DVD's postage and packing and I make about £2 for every one sold..or words to that effect..which is fair play I suppose.
Mmmmmm...Sandy ive 'ad her ye know.

hate to say it, but i contacted one particular member and told him that sellnig my work for 1p was an insult, but he refused to budge.
so i got a mate to buy a disk from him and got his address. suddenly his disks dissapeared.
funny that

Can I just turn this around?
How would the creators of MFME etc feel if a manufacturer decided to release MFME with tons of their old games? They own the rights to the software, hardware, so I reckon they can make a few quid there.
Re-write it to be server-based and hey presto, a recurring revenue stream for almost no work :-)
If the authors of MFME don't like it...then sue the manufacturer ;-)
I am joking, of course.

i dont think the manufacturers own the rights to the software (correct me if im wrong) simply because they never made the software.
