--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 1B - Download from DLL-files.com - msstdfmt.dll, free download and place in c:windowssystem32 directory. If this link is not working google msstdfmt.dll on the internet and download the file then go to step 2.

STEP 2 - Go to Start->Run and type in following command to register the DLL.

regsvr32.exe c:windowssystem32msstdfmt.dll

STEP 3 - Get confirmation message

STEP 4 - You should no longer get the message that MSSTDFMT.DLL is missing.

Seems to work fine.

Good job :)

Only thing I've found (which 'may' be deliberate) is the Start and Turbo Start disappear when you get to the top spins. then come back after.

Yeah it is deliberate :)

Thanks for noticing tho :)

a great sim you got here! very addictive. still trying for a Jackpot.

One thing ive noticed is the profit meter goes up rather than down each go. Surely this would go down with each credit?

Just thought id mention it but great work. what you looking at doing next? lol

The profit counter is purely how much profit the machine has made if you was playing for real eg cash in - cash out

so it is working correctly

0.5b has indeed cured the £20 spin problem, but the system hangs quite badle if i do a normal spin, ie when the stop one-by-one. the programs freezes for a moment between reels 2 and 4 stopping..

hmm

No one else has reported this problem so dont really know whats causing that :(

I have over half a dozen machines i have ran it on with no problems but im no expert ( all XP systems )

Just to let everyone know i will be releaseing the FINAL BETA version of MEGASLOT sim in the next few days so any issues / changes / suggestions in the next 24hrs would be good......

The Suggestions so far have been

Remove " turbo " play ?
Much softer profile on bottom reels wanted ?
Slower reel spin ?
Remove the £100 + win "stop"

So please can i have some more feed back on anything else, and NO bugs have been reported which is a result ! or maybe no one is actually playing it ?? lol

Great sim! (I have played £200k through it)

Feedback: No criticism at all, couple of suggestions:

An auto turbo start, at the moment I have to prop my mouse on to the enter key to keep it playing! I would like it to still pause though for the feature or if it pays a win £100 or over as it does now.

As I am quite interested in payout profiles it would be good if you could add a feature to import the pay table (perhaps from Excel?)

The Pay table is purely based on the amount symbols per reel etc

So theres no actual table for the reels at all really

As for auto play i dont know how to do that yet lol im still a learner in VB maybe James can help me with it :)

200k ! thats more than me lol

But is that on V0.8 ?? 10 times better IMO and beta testers ;)

Hi mate I would just stick an autoplay button on that does nothing but set a 1/0 flag.

On the actual start button a goto loop (that starts at the activation and ended at end of start routine), that only acts when flag=1, but there are other ways to do it. I think that was the way I decided on in the end.

Yes just tried it sort of like that but just gets into a loop that never ends this and gets to a not responding trashed state lol this one area im not so hot on as only been programming with VB very little time :(

Might have to email some code to me james so i can see exactly whats needed i think the way i done it is so shabby its not gonna be able to do that way you explained :(

I know it looks crap, but here's an early sample of the code I used to activate start loop, the internal code changed but the loop remained the same.
PS. Using line numbers is a throwback to my early programming and as this is totally non-optimised.. lol

-----------

' loop will start at 10
10

If wells3 = 1 And wellwin = 0 Then GoTo 1200
If wells4 = 1 And wellwin = 0 Then GoTo 1200
If potwin = 1 Then GoTo 1200
If lep3 = 1 Then GoTo 1200
If lep4 = 1 Then GoTo 1200

inplay = 1

wellwin = 0
lep3 = 0
lep4 = 0
wells3 = 0
wells4 = 0
potwin = 0

If stake = 1 And cashbnk < 0.5 Then GoTo 100
If stake = 2 And cashbnk < 1 Then GoTo 100
If stake = 3 And cashbnk < 2 Then GoTo 100

If stake = 1 Or stake = 0 Then cashbnk = cashbnk - 0.5: totalin = totalin + 0.5
If stake = 2 Then cashbnk = cashbnk - 1: totalin = totalin + 1
If stake = 3 Then cashbnk = cashbnk - 2: totalin = totalin + 2

IN1.Caption = totalin
OUT1.Caption = totalout
pshow.Caption = ((totalout + 1) / (totalin + 1)) * 100

cash.Caption = cashbnk

ReelSpin

Profilewins
wins2
Profilewins3

features
features2
features3
features4
features5

inplay = 0

If auto = 1 Then GoTo 10

100
1200

PS I run all the features everytime, partly to add processing so that I didn't have to keep using pause (which I have in the past found throws up processing errors on loops). Then I just use flags to loop past the feature if not applicable. Hope this helps. auto is the flag for whether autoplay is on or not.

oh dear my code is nothing like that and mine is all in seperate sections and Call them as needed :(

eg:-

Private Sub Start_Click()
TFW = 0
Force = 0
If Int(Rnd(1) * 150) + 1 = 69 Then Force = 1: Fcount = Fcount + 1

If Force = 0 Then r1.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 72) + 1 Else r1.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 9) + 2
If Force = 0 Then r2.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 72) + 1 Else r2.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 72) + 1
If Force = 0 Then r3.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 72) + 1 Else r3.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 8) + 14
If Force = 0 Then r4.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 72) + 1 Else r4.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 72) + 1
If Force = 0 Then r5.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 72) + 1 Else r5.Caption = Int(Rnd(1) * 72) + 1

If Val(Cashout.Caption) <> 0 Then Percent.Caption = Int(Val(Cashout.Caption) / (Cashin.Caption) * 100)
If Lines = 20 Then Credit = Credit - 2: Cashin = Cashin + 2
Call SpinReels
End Sub

etc etc

Well my coding is from when I was at Uni - 15 years ago - and two tiny coding jobs after that - so is probably so bad I would ignore it - lol.. I just did it that way as it was quick........... I always like to make things as modular as possible, call everything bypassing what is not active --- I know it's not the quickest code execution, but it's sure quick to program -lol

Well - you could have an autoplay 10 plays at a time like some machines do.

Just set in a 10 strong loop when autoplay is pressed, or is that crashing it too?

yeah i think so i have given up on it for the moment lol all i do it "queue" up the spins anyway so its like auto play lol

Im just not that good in VB just muddle through it and arrays i have no clue my win check code is crazy lol
