After loading into MFME 9.4 a voice repeatedly says, 'hey, check it out' and I get the above error, sometimes it will say 'no characteriser' help please

I seriously doubt that. the game PROM will not error because the guy's PC needs updated.

To me it sounds like a chr problem.

Sounds like the twix wrapper protocol to me.
Or perhaps pantyware as thats been found in some of the roms.

Best thing to do is take it out and wash it really quickly - usually works for me

Hi folks !

Just thought I'd tag a reply to this thread - it may get an answer, you never know.

I've just updated my 'real' fruit machine with 4 EPROMS - P1, P2, P3 and P4, but I'm seeing the error:

ALARM 52-36
NO CHARACTERISER
WRONG ID CHIP

as well as a voice repeatedly saying 'HEY CHECK IT OUT'

Does anybody know if I need any further chips in my Barcrest MPU5 program card (I noticed that there are 3 smaller chips).

Sorry to ask, but hope someone can help.

i get two losts of errors the id clip one and another which i will post and let u no what it is later most games do these errors on my pc

are these problems for emulated games if so I had the same problems when I 1st started, it could be the way you,re storing the fruits on your P.C. When you dl the emu,s put the fruity layout and roms into the same folder and put each fruity into a seperate folder. Example.. big brother layout and roms in one folder, cash attack layout n roms in another folder and so on.
