OK, so sound Rom sorted, thank you very much.

Now this is one of those awkward JPM machines which pays out 20/40/60/80 pence on some wins.

This appears to be an issue since there are no 20's in the machine, and I can't find a way to top them up....

The only coins in appears to be £1 and £2, no button for 20's.

Does anyone know how to refill the 20's hopper for this thing? (I have enabled it, though that hasn't done anything to help me).

Any help would be much appreciated.

Vike.

Thank you very much. And yeah, you're quite right in thinking that some of us really have no idea how these things work (We just love the flashing lights ;) )

I look forward to playing possibly my all time favourite Clubber in the privacy of my own home tonight :)

Hi,

I'm having the same problems, and although I've downloaded and extracted the sound rom into the directory it isn't doing anything more than the one spin freeze with no sound.

It then struck me that I really have no idea if what I did was the right thing so I thought I'd ask.

Could someone please talk me through it?

Thanks.

Now I don't know if you had any luck finding out about emulation, but my advice is whatever you do, do NOT play this machine in the wild.

It is a complete pig and it will take your money.

I remember some lads doing this in a local arcade about 15/20 years ago. It worked with tokens not coins, because they were less uniform and in this particular arcade had two grooves in them where the thread could sit.

Didn't last too long but I think they made a fair amount at the time.

Modern coin mechs are far too sensitive to allow anything to go back up without screaming blue murder and getting a lot attention. However, since there has to be some slack in terms of size, weight of coins, etc. there have been recent(ish) scams with washers, Austrian Schillings and various other currency coins of no real value which have registered as pound coins. BOY is that annoying when you win a few quid out of one and the landlord tells you to F off when you ask him to change them since they came out of his machine!
