In Topic: MFME2..

it includes 7 additional technologies (Impact, MPS2, SYS1, Scorpion 1, Scorpion 2, SYS80 and SYS5) and will therefore allow alot of older machines to be emulated.

it also allows certain layouts that did not function correctly in mfme 1.1 to work (mad house for example).

i hope that clears things up abit.

Older, older! Not newer machines.... :-(

Well, why is it some new machines have a fake backing feature? surely it's not even considered a gamble then since you're only giving them money? ........ aren't full, isn't that illegal since you're not getting the full odds? They can take however much they want, since the machine can only have £30 in the hopper (enough to cover a £25) and take everything else as profit? Not really giving a fair chance is it?

What ever gave you the impression that fruit machines were fair?

In Topic: Maygay (Epoch) Tech Is Now Fair Game For Emulation ?

Just to steer things back towards the original topic... I`m curious about the current legal & technical situation with regard to emulation and what exactly is fair game for emulators? I`m new to all this and have only really been playing fruit machines for 5 years so alot of the oldies don`t hold the same appeal. Still good though! I see that there appears to be some sort of agreement with manufacturers regarding how long a machine has been out and a special hands off from Empire. Personally I think it should all be fair game since the manufacturers seem to have no problem with cheating the punters (ref. Fair play campaign), preying on the young and intoxicated (most machines in arcades or pubs), and creating a substantial number of addicts in this country. On the technology side I`ve never saw a system yet that can`t be broke- just look at the Games industry- every copy protection system ever made has been broken sooner or later. They`re even copying GBA carts! So just what exactly is the situation then, and what are other peoples thoughts on this?
