I like it also, nice to see Churchill on the back.

Do like the feel and overall look, much more robust, less "paper" like obviously.

I hear next year 10's and 20's will be getting the same treatment, also new £ coin in March !

The government doing everything they can to protect the old British pound.

I should think the note acceptors will be an easy transition ... just wondering what is going to happen to old those old fruit machines scattered around the country when the new pound hits.

Guessing the coin mechs could be updated but what about hoppers and tubes ?!?

In Topic: Pub machine revenue halved since 2000

Pub fruits are a bit of a joke now they are on £100, no game play at all as we know. I can see another increase in jackpots in the future which would not be the right move.

I've always wondered if a pub with 4 machines or more would do better with a couple on £100 jackpot, and a couple on £35, £70 or even £25 ... Obviously this would never happen but might encourage the more casual player to have a go, far more entertaining on a lower jackpot, would actually feel like a fruit machine !!

Also I can definitely see an increase in the arcades to £1,000, surprised it hasn't been done already.

Wow that layout looks great!

I used to own this machine very briefly, its a fun game but there was a problem ... I am not sure if they are all like this but mine was definitely anti force coded. The guy who delivered it to me many years ago now even said its a hard old game to win !!

He was right, regardless of stake, jackpot or % settings you could never do well on this game. To make it entertaining you literally had to collect something every board. Maybe my machine I owned was a one off, I checked the coin in and coin out meters before I sold it. They had not gone round the clock again and I can assure you that the machine I owned had absolutely raked it in for the operators paying out less than 30% in its lifetime !!

Did Empire release these like this or was my machine rigged once it got out into the wild. Would be very interesting to see what you guys think when you can play this layout.

Apart from the "illegal" payout percentage, its not a bad game from what I remember, good design, £5, £8, £15 or £25 jackpots available and good sounds with lots of features.

I'll never forget it haha, one of those machines I didn't keep for to long. Just shocked when I checked those meters at the bottom which explained everything!!

It is crazy how the time flies! I originally created an account early 2005 but haven't logged into that user since 2009 as I cannot remember the email address. Happy to use this profile and very happy Fruit-Emu still exists.

I'll never forget loading up the first emulation, think it was Tuppenny Nudger, something I used to love playing in the arcade but on the computer it was free! Also played hours of Crazy Casino club £250 on emu.

Lots of memories playing many layouts years ago, some of which influenced purchases like Camelot, wish I never sold that!

I could be wrong but would it just not round up the amount if there is only one hopper as a bonus?

Also you could just start playing without any float at all, it would just IOU I assume if you collected more than what was in the hopper.
