In september of last year I bought a Astra section 16 Slotto, I paid like £400, I paid with a postal order and got the machine after 2 months however the machine had no computer in it!!!

The sellers moved house and so now I have a machine with no computer, I bought a dell optiplex computer off ebay and put that in the bottom and just played some casino software games on it, trouble is if course the machine will not accept/payout money like this.

Could anyone tell me either how I can get the original software to fully work on it (as in accept/payout) money or how I can configure a visual basic .net app to be able to detect inserted coins and payout.

Could anyone sell me a computer for it?

We all have our opinions on section 16's/B3's and I have bought this for entertainment purposes and was wondering that people thought of its entertainment value, I paid £343 for it and am waiting for its arrival, from youtube videos it seems its only "bonus" is when you get 3 people appear and you have to choose one and an amount of money is revealed, is this the only bonus?

Also it does not take the new £20 note, can its note acceptor be taught the new £20 note?

Since it has not been updated to the new £20 I'm guessing it has not been chipped and was wondering if this means its likely to still be vulnerable to emptier's? Also how does one go about chipping a machine to update it, do you buy a chip and replace the current one? download some firmware or something?

Oh and lastly, is it possible to change the software on it to that of another Astra machine so it runs like the other machine (I know I would need a dongle).

I would love source code if anyone knows where I can get it and the name of a coin mech that it supports.

I'm looking to build a touch screen machine with coin in and receipt out support running on Windows.

Hi,

I have a touch screen casino game called "Video Star" by barcrest (2002) which has some poker games on etc.

I looked at the files on its memory card and they end with file extensions such as .gfx and .bin just like the mage roms, are these mage roms?

The machine is MPU5, I downloaded some mage roms and put them on the card but the monitor says "NO SIGNAL INPUT" so dont know if the machine supports them, if it does does anyone know where I can download some roms that will work on it?
