in regards to the leaked mfme, we all wanted to play them mpu5 so bad we downloaded that emu with out a care in the world, even if it meant we wouldnt see another update ever again. There has to be a line drawn, as much as i would like to see all the latest machines.

And if my memory serves me well, those who didnt choose to release current tech said it would harm the industry. Well BooHoo who cares about the House winning.

I never understood why these emulators didnt follow like VPmame/VisualPinball? relased every year with added tables unlocked for play

I found it doing a google search, looks like it was used when MAME added mpu4. I think it was posted in the forums years ago.
As far as I know! its usless by itself unless you backward engineer any new tech not already written into the code.

there is no error message when machine starts up. the alarm only goes off if i unplug a cable on the reel which i used to test the speaker and sounds fine. one point to note is when i run through the engineering test mode i dont see any thing relating to sound at all which i found strange
