Oh, one other thing.

People who collect Roms, would want CLEAN romsets.

Personally, I think all the user created stuff, would be removed from any torrent, and only clean romsets would be offerred.

I think all the budding artists, and their work, Is pretty safe.

Leastways, All art Is removed from any romsets I have, and any I have seen

Well, Ive been sent to his thread, by a Moderator for a look, and after reading, thought It worth a comment.

I have been dealing with torrent for years.

Torrent, whilst being P2P, due to Its very nature, NO files are actually kept on the main servers.

The files are actually on the Individual machines all over the world.

The only thing the server carries, Is the torrent file Itself, which Is not copyright, and Is NOT Illegal. Its Is simply a "pointer'. A bus conductor If you like.

So, If some company wanted to bust you, they would have a pretty hard job of doing so, and chances are, due to different laws In different countries.........NONE.

Anyway, the torrent site I hang at, deals with everything. The big N, the Big S, you name It. They are currently serving torrents for almost all roms available, Including Fruit Machine

Anyone who Is still unsure about the safety of torrenting, well, I hope this eases your mind a little. The Servers carry no Illegal files, so Barcrest, and others, can suck eggs.

A good read Is to be had on The Pirate Bay. Ive spent a few hours reading their replies to companies asking them to remove files from their server, when In fact, they dont have any.

Also, as far as updating, there Is a program called torrentzip, which will allow updating to be done very easily, without having to re download Mbs of useless data. We use this for updating of the Mame Romsets, and It can be used for basically any platform.

I am currently downloading the full Bestest 2005 Collection of Fruit Machine.

It stands at 7.19Gb. Should have It In a day or so.

Anyway, many people think torrent Is a big hairy beast. It Isnt.

Its actually a very useful tool, and I would highly suggest Utorrent as a client.

Cheers
