In Topic: Problems with Percentages!!

No...really?! Obviously a machine set to pay out 98% of what goes in it will pay out a lot more than a machine set to pay out 78%. So it would have to be less tight! Hell, even Vivids would play well on 98/99%!!

I know I was stating the obvious but I was kind of trying to answer the OP's question of whether there was a difference between using a percentage key or simply removing it and using the dips on the MPU. ;)

FWIW, I removed the percentage key from my psycho cash beast genesis and pushed over the top 4 switches on the MPU so it now says DOOR 98.00 instead of DOOR 78.00.

I cleared the short term stats and after about 2000 plays it says Target 98.00 - Actual 101.00 so I don't think you need a percentage key. It seems to want to pay a lot instead of the tight ass machine it was.

I've never seen the 00 number change ever.

In Topic: Barcrest Reel D "Out Of Sync"

18 May 2006 - 10:09 AM

I've found out the problem. The reel was rubbing against the plastic on the door.

It turns out whoever repaired it last knew this and jammed a broken coat hanger against the plastic near the motor to lift the wheel up slightly.

When I've been opening and shutting the door, the coat hanger has worked loose and the reel has pushed back against the door.

Now I've got to see if it needs replacing or I need another coat hanger.

In Topic: Barcrest Hopper Question.

12 May 2006 - 09:12 PM

Thanks, I've got a couple of other trivial questions. ;)

1) When I stick a quid in it, the 'Cash In' meter clicks round and adds a 10 to the number. But when it pays out the 'Cash Out' meter just remains the same, it doesn't seem to change.

The 'Cash In' number is about 1800000 (I assume that's £180k) and the 'cash out' is around 1100000. Is this easy to fix?

2) I'll be using it as a money box, sticking my spare change into it. I've ordered a refill key which will tell me how much is in the hopper. But is there any way to tell how much is actually in the machine? Including the silver which will be backing and not falling into the hopper. I'm sure the answer will be no but I'm new to this. :) It would be nice to press a button and it would say, £84.40 in it, without having to count the money in the bins.

3) Would I be able to change it from it's 25p/£15 jackpot to a 10p/£15?

Thanks.
