you think at my age 35 that you can drink till any timeHot on the heals of Monopoly60v8's post on smoking (which is still burning - no pun intended
), what are your thoughts on the UK's drinking rules;
Are we more likely to have a better and calmer society if town/city centre pubs were open much past 11:00pm or would we be further breeding a nation of complete piss heads?
My view is that the 11:00pm end causes too many people on the streets at the same time (which is bad), and in my experience, you kneck as many pints as you can down your throat before you get kicked out of the pub (and then the fights happen :-( ).
Of course you can go to a club, but at my age (34 this April - aghhh) I'm trying to avoid this as I seem to be turning into my old man - "I can't hear myself think in here - look at the state of her, she should put some clothes on, she'll catch herself a cold etc....)
Thoughts?!?
