JPM Each Way Nudger (Mk. I)

21 October 2006 - 03:04 PM

I have a sudden hankering to purchase a JPM Each Way Nudger - must be the Mk. I version.

What are my chances of finding one?

What should I expect to pay? (relative to it being working or non working)?

Besides Ebay, where else should I keep an eye on?

If it needs some PCB repair work then no problem - I repair classic old arcade games for a living (Space Invaders, Galaxian, Defender - you name it!). I'm also fairly mechnically minded so repairing any faulty mechanics shouldn't be a major problem either.

Thanks.

JPM Each Way Nudger

Is the JPM Each Way Nudger emulated yet? I found a scan on here of the glasswork but no signs of an actual emulation.

I recall at least two versions of this machine (which I originally played way back in 1979) ...... the first version had large round buttons (yellow and green) to select whether to nudge up or down. The later version had smaller, rectangular yellow and green buttons instead.

The earlier machines also had what I assume was a bug in the software - if the nudge up or down buttons were pressed before all the reels had stopped spinning then you could get 10 nudges every time (naturally if you knew the reels (which I did :) ) you would press the button at the last second when the first two reels had stopped, ie when you had an idea what to nudge for).

BTW, are there scans of the reels anywhere? I used to know them off by heart but the years haven't been kind to my brain and I seem to have forgotten them ..........

Thanks
